Pray for "Gabby's" Family

Those of us who live in the Middle TN/South Central KY region are saddened to learn of the untimely murder of a sweet 7 YO girl by the name of Gabby Doolin.

Her body was laid to rest in the Scottsboro, Kentucky area after funeral services at Scottsboro Baptist Church.

The fact that this incident has happened not too far from my location only makes my tears for them, and all who knew Gabby on a personal basis, flow even more.

Many local fund raising efforts are in the process of being formed for Gabby's family to help defray the expenses that they will face in the coming days.

However, money will never replace the void that remains whenever her name is mentioned or the memories of her presence will fill the hearts and minds of her family and friends.

That's something that only the Lord can do for them.

Please, please pray much for Gabby's family.

In the light of this heart-breaking tragedy, how compelling it is to reflect on these two verses in the Word of God:

(1) "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." --- Genesis 6:5

and,

(2) "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." --- Matthew 24:37
