On another note, from the Snopes piece, 1999:

And that's precisely "the chord" that's gained him such a large following today.

 

It's not that Crabby hates Trump so much it's just that he prefers having authoritarians and pick pockets in power.

 

A couple of problems with the snopes article. First, while they claimed to have searched extensively through the archives there is no indication they made any contact with the magazine editors themselves. I do not think simply going through the archives are exhaustive enough to make a definitive claim either way.

Further, their insistance that Fox News was not very prominent in 1998 is just flat out incorrect.

 

So you think Snopes is wrong and Trump actually said what CBT posted?
