Ted Cruz is delusional if he thinks he can win the nomination…or deserves to win the nomination.

He was shut out on Tuesday night. Shut out as in zero, zilch, zip, nada. It was Trump 4, Kasich 1, Cruz 0, Rubio cut from the team.

Cruz can’t be the nominee. We’re deep into the GOP presidential race on a key Super Tuesday and he can’t even win one state. The nomination winner can’t be 0 for 5 on a Super Tuesday. That’s not a man on the way to becoming leader of the free world.

    . . .

That leaves one man left standing -- Donald J Trump.

But the story doesn’t end here. Because Ted Cruz still has a river card to play. It’s time to put ego aside and play your hand Ted.

Ted just doesn't have the full faith and confidence of the people. Not yet. They trust him to be good, but not to win a fight.

Granted, he didn't take voter fraud into account.

Sure he did. The GOP just didn't figure on the amount of voter fraud they would need to WIN. It's bad when you try to cheat and fall into your own hole.

It's total delegate count, not state-by-state won-loss record.

Yes, it is. And by that reckoning Cruz will never make it to the magical 1237 mark.
    The math is against him.

I would think you guys would be praying that Ted Cruz does get enough delegates rather than sit behind a keyboard pulling against him! Shameful to say the least!

There are a number of Christians praying that Trump wins. But I wouldn't say that those of you pulling for Cruz are doing anything shameful. God's will shall be done.

When will Ted concede to Donald?

I figure it will be either April 9th or 19th at the latest. The handwriting will certainly be on the wall by then.
He'll have to quit. Of course J.K. fully knows he doesn't stand a chance. I have no respect for him -- I did before though. I used to watch him on Fox --thought he was a reasonable guy back then.

In spite of what Trump says, the race is not over yet. In a two-man race, Cruz outpolls Trump.

Do Trump voters really think that Trump is smarter than Cruz?

This is hilarious. You keep moving the date forward with each election day. Trump was going to have it sewn up by South Carolina, you said. Then he was going to sweep Super Tuesday. Then he was going to pull so far ahead last Tuesday so as to make him the clear choice. Now you say he will be the obvious choice on April 19th? LOL!

Why would he drop out on April 9th? He's likely going to win Arizona (winner take all) and he will win Utah (winner take all) on Mar. 22nd, then he will win Wisconsin April 5th (winner take all).

Cruz will never concede unless he does not secure the nomination at the convention. Why would anyone drop out before the last primary of the season, California (winner take all)?

That question came out of the blue from you.

Cruz is brilliant. But The Donald is quite bright as well. He certainly didn't make his billions by being dimwitted.

It's just that the math is against Ted in this race. He can't overcome that.

    I have not.
    I made no such claim.
He did rather well --losing only one primary. Ted got a big fat zero.
Ted will be demoralized by the 19th of April --if he waits that long.
No, Trump will take Arizona. Mark my words.
Ted may just pull it off by winning Utah. But he will lose N.D. and Wis. Colorado may be a tight race --but Trump will get all the marbles there.

Ted didn't get anything on the second Super Tuesday. And he will quite likely only pick up Utah at best by April 9. By that point Ted will have fallen so far behind he will never be able to recover. But his ego will drive him forward anyway until he loses the Big Apple and other primaries by April 19.
Well, for the good of the Party is one very good reason. Using common sense is another.
Ted has a slim to no chance in picking up the Golden State. He will have lost so much ground by then that even if he could pull off the impossible --it still would not be enough. The math is against him. His numbers would simply be too low.

Do you really think that Trump is as brilliant as Cruz?

Each has their own kind of brilliance. But the fact that Cruz doesn't have the trajectory to win the Republican nomination hasn't "dawned" on him yet.

And Trump needs to get 60% of remaining delegates. Neither candidate can do it. Hello, brokered convention. Good bye Donald Trump.

I am not sure that I follow you--could you be more specific?

What has dawned on everyone is that the GOP is fractured and that Trump loses both the popular vote and the electoral college against Hillary in November. Trump's negatives are higher than Hillary's and she consistently outpolls him for November. Trump cannot win with 35% or so of the GOP.
