Of course. My comment was aimed at the idea that everyone who owns a plane must automatically be wealthy. That is not the case.

My previous comment has been edited to be more specific.

I would remind y'all that the late Lester Roloff owned and flew his own plane back in the day.

Provided the context of the OP, I assumed we're all talking about the same thing which are these luxury private planes like a Citation V or Gulfstream.

There is no reasonable argument for a private luxury jet to be owned by a minister or ministry.

True - I was using jet and (regular) plane interchangeable.

In layman's terms, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths. :) In boating terms, 42 feet, 6'8" draft, 3 cabins, 2 heads. I can put dishes in the galley sink from my bed - so it's cozy. LOL

We have a 50 hp diesel engine (Yanmar) to help when we can't sail. We go away on the boat for a few weeks during the summer and this year we will be sailing to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard along with Newport, Block Island and other places. Interestingly enough, even with a sailboat, we can't sail for most of our vacation just because of the way the wind is (not always enough to move the boat well enough to travel to where we want to go in a decent length of time and not always in the right direction) so that engine comes in handy. :) Because we take our "house" with us, our vacations for 3 weeks for 6 people actually turn out to be pretty thrifty! We have all of our accommodations and just usually anchor or take a mooring (about $25-35 a night) and we cook on the boat almost exclusively. Because the boat is paid off (and we've had her 13 years and got such a screaming deal on her that we could sell her for what we paid at this point!), the costs are very small to have her each year - less than taking the family on even a road trip vacation.

LOL - Actually, Bob calls the boat the "marine office". Because we homeschool and have 4 loud kids, he finds it really handy to be able to go down to the boat and work on his messages. He has wifi out there and anything else he'd need except a printer. He has even been known to go down during the winter, fire up the heater and stay for a few hours.

that's great annsni, may the Lord grant his protection and the mariners blessing of "fair winds and following seas" to you and your family this summer.
