Well folks, we can now see how ATG approaches reading and studying God's word. You can determine for yourselves what Ephesians 1:4-6 is talking about.

    Ah, some Bible!

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Yes, Paul is writing to the believers in Ephesus. He is explaining to them how they were saved "in Christ".

To conclude that only the church of Ephesus was saved "in Christ" is preposterous. Case in point, when were you saved?

Please don't tell me when you accepted Christ. That would mean that your "faith" saved you, not Christ.

No, when you accepted Christ you were accepting something that already taken place in the holy history of Christ.

And...how were they saved ATG. What does the text say?
Your commentary here is not a part of the text. What does the text say.
Observe the passage and write down your observations. Don't jump to interpretation and application before you observe. Observe, observe, observe. What does the text say, ATG?

That only the church members of Ephesus were "in Christ". :)

That means you weren't there...Calvin, etc....Just the church of Ephesus.

Is that the conclusion that you were hoping for?

Conclusion: Only the church members of Ephesus are making it to heaven.

    What does the text say?

    Write down your observations.

    Ephesians 1:3-6
[3]All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
[4]Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
[5]God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
[6]So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

You jump to interpretation and don't observe. Write down your observations.

Col 1:22 He has now reconciled [the church members of Colossae] in His fleshly body through death, in order to present [the church members of Colossae] before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach...

Now we have only the Ephesus and Colossae members being saved. That leaves you out....

    Yes...you jumped right to interpretation.

Share your observations of the text. What does the text say?

    Ephesians 1:3-6
[3]All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
[4]Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

[6]So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

I'll help you. Observation #1, verse 3. All praise to God. Paul uses the word all. Paul uses the word praise. All praise is given to God.

    Now, you try. Observation #2...

I asked you to do it, but you didn't....Why?

    In another thread you said,

Well, I'm still waiting....Why not stop talking (or babbling) and prove me wrong. I have been wrong before, but so far you haven't disproved me....
