Poll: 60 Percent of Adults ‘Hopeful and Optimistic’ About America’s Future

Sixty percent of adults feel “hopeful and optimistic” about the future of the country, a Wall Street Journal-NBC News poll released Sunday shows, while President Trump’s net approval rating is negative—for now.
When asked, “When you think about the future of the country, would you say that you are mainly hopeful and optimistic or mainly worried and pessimistic,” sixty percent of 1,000 adults surveyed from Feb. 18 t0 Feb. 22 said they were hopeful, not pessimistic. That’s a steady upward drift from 53 percent in August, and 56 percent in December. Pollsters note the margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. Meanwhile, Trump himself fares slightly less well: 44 percent approve of the job he’s doing as president, while 48 percent disapprove.

The surge in optimism is driven in part by Trump voters’ enthusiasm, according to what pollster Bill McInturff told the Washington Examiner: “This is a strong number being driven by very high numbers among Trump voters who express optimism across a number of measures on the poll, including higher economic confidence.”

But other groups are feeling hopeful, too. Over half, or 52 percent, of Hispanics are hopeful about the future of America, not worried. So are 65 percent of whites. (Among blacks, only 36 percent feel optimistic.) Nearly all Republicans, or 87 percent, are hopeful about the future, as well as 56 percent of independents. And so are 37 percent of Democrats.

No.

Can you read?
Oh, I see you're quoting a bogus Breitbart interpretation of a poll. Here's one of the questions asked in the real poll:

In general, do you approve or disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president?
Approve...............................................................44 .
Disapprove ................................ 48
Not sure ................................ 8

Some people just can't stand it that the majority of people are hopeful for the future of our nation.

Must be losers syndrome of some type.

Not so. I'm pointing to a question in the poll previously cited that better interprets the result of the poll than Breitbart did. Are you really a supporter of this white supremacist web site and its leader who's now a major White House advisor?

First you need to prove it is a white supremacist website or is that just an emotional and irrational claim. Second it is an adhominem as it attacks the source rather than the information provided. What I have quoted above further makes my point.

The topic was about OPTIMISM, not your switch-a-roo deflection to APPROVAL, or your opinion of what YOU think, white people think of themselves.

Learn before you speak!
Jew is a race.
Caucasian is a race.
Nazi's murdered the JEWS!
Andrew Breitbart was a JEW, regardless of his skin color.

Your slam against other races, and unfounded Nazi comment is an old childish Liberal tactic.

You don't recognize Breitbart as a white supremacist web site? I'll look for evidence which shouldn't be difficult. Give me some evidence for whatever you think they are or stand down.

A response cited BREITBART "News." I'm calling into question the legitimacy of the statement and actually this whole question about Trump and his cronies being "Christians." You guys have been taken in by a small time con man.

Steve Bannon Cited Italian Thinker Who Inspired Fascists
NY Times
http://tinyurl.com/jqjjz82
I took the time to read the entire piece you have cited concerning the citation of Julias Evola:
Steve Bannon responds to the following question from Benjamin Harnwell of the Human Dignity Institute
Benjamin Harnwell: Thank you very much. I’m [unintelligible]. I come from Slovakia. This is actually the source of my two very quick questions. Thank you very much for the work that you do to promote the Judeo-Christian values in the world. I really appreciate it, and I also feel that the danger is very high. I have two minor questions, because you have mentioned, in terms of UKIP and Front National [unintelligible]. From the European perspective, listening to the language which has become more and more radical from these two parties, especially before the European Parliament elections, I’m just wondering what are your plans on how to help these partners from Europe to maybe focus on the value issues and not with populist? And also it goes in terms — you have mentioned the involvement of state in capitalism as one of the big dangers. But these two parties you’ve mentioned, they actually have close ties with Putin, who is the promoter of this big danger, so I’d like to know your thoughts about this and how you’re going to deal with it.
...
Steve Bannon: I think it’s a little bit more complicated. When Vladimir Putin, when you really look at some of the underpinnings of some of his beliefs today, a lot of those come from what I call Eurasianism; he’s got an adviser who harkens back to Julius Evola and different writers of the early 20th century who are really the supporters of what’s called the traditionalist movement, which really eventually metastasized into Italian fascism. A lot of people that are traditionalists are attracted to that.

One of the reasons is that they believe that at least Putin is standing up for traditional institutions, and he’s trying to do it in a form of nationalism — and I think that people, particularly in certain countries, want to see the sovereignty for their country, they want to see nationalism for their country. They don’t believe in this kind of pan-European Union or they don’t believe in the centralized government in the United States. They’d rather see more of a states-based entity that the founders originally set up where freedoms were controlled at the local level.
So from Bannon's answer, how do you come to the conclusion that Bannon supports Julius Evola in any way?
In fact Bannon is informing Harnwell of Putin's adherence to Evola whose influence led to the danger.

Read the entire piece. Bannon is no supporter of Putin Either.
“Because at the end of the day, I think that Putin and his cronies are really a kleptocracy, that are really an imperialist power that want to expand.
