The only consistent Calvinist is the one who does not believe in evangelism

Mitch: Since they view God's sovereignty as being limited to absolute control of every thought and moment of men's salvation then there is no need to share the gospel. If God's wants them saved He will regenerate them without and help of man. God doesn't need nor want our help.
Actually, it's Calvinists who preach with the purest motives, because they 'Love to Tell the Story,' they love their fellow man, and they love their God. Those who preach thinking that they're needed are the ones not doing evangelism right. :Whistling

The Evangel - the Gospel, is the means that God uses to save His people. We proclaim the gospel to all men everywhere, firstly because He commanded us to, and secondly because the normal means that God uses to call and save a man is through the proclamation of the gospel, by other men.

    Romans 10:14–15

[14] How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? [15] And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (ESV)

And because we love men and we love the Gospel.

I do not know who Mitch is (and the link only takes me to a blank post with no author), but it seems to me that someone got coal in their stocking yesterday. Just pat them on the head, give them a cookie, and they will go away.

Or , we love the Word (of God) so we can’t contain ourselves in spreading the gospel

Funny, my dear wife (born & raised) Dutch Reformed constantly punctuates her really important sentences with scripture when she wants to emphasize something important...she considers the word of God to be the ultimate clarifier and I believe she does it in a semi conscious state because she is convinced that scripture is the truth...and the truth sets you free.:Smile

That's because I have no idea who Mitch is. Is Mitch a person, place, or thing? Is the personal pronoun used to describe a person or a group? Help!

    Matthew 28:18–20

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV)

I think many of the so called former mission movements were founded by Calvinists!

Lol. Were you speaking of responses to the postulation of fallacious premises?
