If They Need it, Should Women be Spanked?

Well, perhaps you just don’t go back far enough, or have the recall, or never watched ‘em. At least four “I Love Lucy” episodes end with Ricky spanking her. There were a few such scenes in John Wayne movies, e.g., “McClintock.” There were other movies as well, earlier ones even. And then there’s “Gone with the Wind.” As far as I know, the culture was not outraged by it, or even offended. Mind you, this is not explanative, merely observative.

A Christian man living among Muslims told me they could not believe he never had to beat his wife, as she was just too well-behaved.

My wife has ridden, bred and raised horses, is 5ft 3in and doesn’t take any guff from anybody. If you know horse people then you know they won’t be intimidated.

I do not advocate nor do I condone domestic violence. However, It is firmly engrained in the culture in this area. I heard my granny on several occasions tell three of my female cousins "Y'all need husbands to put y'all in your places." Everyone knew exactly what that meant. She told one of them on an occasion "If I had said that, your granddaddy would have slapped me down.
When I worked at the Sheriff's Office, over half the calls I answered were domestics.

Justifiable. But did she have to warn you as in the post, or did you figure it out from seeing her in action? Either way, bottom line: No spanking!

 

So, I guess that also answers the question, "If a woman needs it, should she be tickled?"

Alright, but consider that in regard to Revelation 3:19. And I'm not advocating any type of violence, but pointing out that someone could try to use scripture this way. As for the topic of violence itself, our society seems to be going in that direction, with leftists groups thinking it's justified to smash windows, attack people and burn vehicles because their candidate(s) didn't win. I still think an attempt, at least, of assassinating Trump will be made, and there will be celebrating in the streets followed by more rioting. Violence in one setting will induce it in others.

 

I know unpopular opinion coming.... but yes, in my opinion women SHOULD be spanked by their husbands if they are bad. I have personally seen women in my own family that treat their husbands like trash, and it saddens me how the men just sit their and take it. One good slap and it would be over! I as a wife would want my husband to slap me if I back talked him, or acted in any negative way. Feminism to me is a disease, and because of it we are seeing more divorces, less babies being born, and more men who are just whipped into being little sissy boys. It's sad... We women are told by God to honor our husbands and obey him, yes he is to love us, but spanking someone who is disobedient doesn't mean that person lacks love, remember God said who He chastises, He loves.

 

Reading those 1950s replies made me feel kind of sick. Wow.
