JonC's thread on what is the best coffee maker, got me thinking about this. I think it would be interesting to find out your recommendations for good coffee. What do you like?

Of all we drink, my all-around favorite is Lavazza's Gran Selezione, "a blend of premium Arabica from Central and South America, with chocolaty tasting notes and a full-bodied aroma."

Good old Folgers Columbian for everyday. I switch out all the time and Seattle's Best is one good brew too. Green Mountain roasters is not too bad either. Lavalazza like someone else pointed out is tasty also.

There was a time when I couldn't, or wouldn't. I'm over that, but at $100 per cup, I might be able to drink a teaspoon full. (Or perhaps drink it and not drink coffee again for a couple of years.) It would be interesting to taste the difference.

Well you all are probably going to ban me from the board anyway... I drink instant Folger's coffee crystals... Heat up the water in the microwave... Add a teaspoon of Folgers and some coffee mate french vanilla cream and I good to go:D... Don't beat me up too bad cause I can always go over to the UK brethren and have a spot of tea... Cheerio!... Brother Glen:D

Warning. Off topic. This thread is about coffee. Instant doesn't count. :Biggrin

I can't remember what was in our MRE. Maybe Sanka. I liked it....but it wasn't coffee.

NO NOT Sanka - that was activated charcoal for filtering water!

Good thing only the Amish practice The Ban!

Not coffee, but sometimes though, when in a pinch, one must have a substitute. Here's the best one I've found.
