Cadence and gestures were a bit awkward, but what a treat to hear New York's Kirsten Gillibrand reciting Scripture:

Why would you say it's a treat?

I actually thought of this when I read the OP...

Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice.[Philippians 1:15-18]

I think he's talking of believers with impure motives, not unbelievers.

A Brother told me last week back in 1973 a friend of his said they ought to go to church, as there was a revival going. His friend said hell was a bad place. They went that night, he was saved, and unto this day, his friend is still lost. He said God used a lost person in his life. That’s what I thought of when I read the OP. God saves via the gospel message, even if the person using it is lost.

But what is in her heart? The last I heard she still gives her total support to NYS's new abortion law that allows the heinous procedure right up until birth.

The "Not - So - Reverend" Al "Tawana" Sharpton has a church which is located in a former haberdashery at 22-55 East 114th Street, Harlem, NYC. (LOL)
