Counseling a potential Enlistee?

    The Army (N,MC,AF,CG) that the vast majority of us joined many years ago -
    is nothing like the military today.

    Co-Ed training, possibility that females could be drafted, trans-gendered, h0mose/al's, ect.
    Even Chaplains have to be careful what they say.

    Should we encourage our young people to join the military in this day and age?
    Do you think that it might be different in the National Guard or Reserves?

    Can a young person be a witness while in service?

    I would not encourage or discourage someone to join the military. Were that their decision, I would support them.

    The military is a microcosm of our society and reflects the changes that our culture has undergone.

    It is the same in the Reserves and the National Guard.

    Christians can be a witness in the military.

    Yes. We continue to need a viable military to protect the nation in a very dangerous world. Face it, old folks cannot cut the mustard and war fighting is really a young persons bailiwick.

    I don't see why not.
