Job 31:13-15 and the Unborn?

    If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me; what then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him? Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

    I failed to add to the OP, and not it is too late to edit, that is not by me but Jared C. Wilson. If you click the link you will see that, but I wanted to make it more obvious. His use of this text in Job makes a very good point (or 3 points).

    He has another article on abortion HERE, where he urges that Christians not use utilitarian arguments against abortion because "The biblical grounds for the pro-life argument have nothing to do with a person’s “usefulness” to a family or society."

    Sometimes Christians do not want to offend the world when the Word of God is meant to do exactly that. The Bible is meant to offend worldly sensibilities. The key is that we do not become the offense.
