Some JW's came by the housed this week and I did not mention this verse that show God commenting of being on the cross from the OT.. quite devastating to those who do not accept Jesus as GOD
I forgot to mention it to them and realize I might not have shared this on the Board although othets might have. It is very useful

    Zec 12:10

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

I would not agree with the claim that God is Jesus. God is the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. God is all three. Jesus is God, but God is comprised of three divine Persons, while remaining one God.

    Emmanuel

Jesus was not a Son in Heaven and neither was God the Father until Jesus became flesh

God is, right now, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

To say that "God is Jesus" would be to limit God to only on Person of the Trinity.

My only point is that it is not biblical correct to say, "God is Jesus." The Bible does not say that. It teaches that Jesus is God, though.

I did not limit it,neither does the verse, Look......they look upon me, yet mourn for him.
Jesus was God on the cross or your sins are not forgiven yet He was man or you cant share in His d
    death

He later said the Father will send the Holy Spirit and I will send the Holy Spirit

Another helpful question to ask those who knock on our door is this one:

Who is the Spirit of Christ?

    Romans 8:9
    1 Peter 1:11

That doesn't mean that God is Jesus.

Interesting OP, but the old hymn goes God in three persons blessed Trinity... Btw... What are you going to do with these verses?... Brother Glen:)

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

He was totally man and totally God, separable yet indivisible. The problem is not recognizing the separation in purpose but the unity of the Godhead.

Christ it seems is focused on the fallen, which includes the creation of the physical, the reconciliation of all who will , and the final destination of those who do not repent.

We will recognize Him as God . He will sit on the one single throne.

Sounds to me like modalism or Jesus-only Pentecostalism. Not exactly Nicene or Chalcedonian Trinitarianism.

no it does support the Trinity, emphasising the nature of God, rejecting the anthropomorphize we place on God. Humanity of Jesus is not equal to his divinity

Does God is Jesus mean Jesus is the only Person of the Trinity?

Does Jesus is God mean Jesus is the only Person of the Trinity?

There are two well known heresies:

    1) The Second Person of the Trinity was created and is not eternal.
    2) The Third Person of the Trinity is not a Person.

Use scripture to stay on target.

Who is the Spirit of Christ? Yahweh!

We know from John 1, Jesus is not alone as God
    Rom 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Spirit of God , Spirit of Christ is what we call today the Holy Spirit God who is available to all today

Which Person of the Trinity is the "Spirit of God?"
Which Person of the Trinity is the "Spirit of Christ?"
Which Person of the Trinity is the "Holy Spirit God?"

Jesus is the name of the man. God is not the man (Hosea 11:9). Now the Lord Jesus Christ is both God and the man (John 20:28).

Now Jesus is the man who said that He was the sole access to God (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5). And He was also the sole access to God prior to His incarnation to be a man (John 1:18; Genesis 12:7; John 8:56).

So the Spirit of God is not the First Person's Spirit?
And the Spirit of Christ is not the Second Person's Spirit?
