Gen chapter 47

    This chapter talks about the famine in Egypt.
    Specifically, citizens were trading their stock and then
    their land to the Pharaoh in exchange for food.

    Now these people had nothing - except their freedom.
    And then they became indentured servants for more food.

    Was Joseph operating in an ethical way by taking the land
    and even the lives of those who desperate needed food.


    Bonus Question
    In today's society, would Joseph and Pharaoh be a Democrat or a Repbulican?

    And they said, Thou hast saved our lives... Genesis 47:25

    Oh, I was thinking the Pharaoh would be a Democrat and Joseph would be a Republican. ;)
