    :Thumbsup OK, I had no idea Cassius Marcellus Clay, the boxer’s namesake, was a famous abolitionist, much less that he was as tough as Davy Crockett and instrumental in compelling the Emancipation Proclamation. And the self-proclaimed "the greatest" renounced that historic appellation for one linking him to the slave heritage of “Black" Islam? :Rolleyes I suppose that's where arrogance takes you.

    Yes, he said he had no quarrel with the Vietnamese people. It seems that only LBJ and Robert McNamara had a beef with the Vietnamese, so why weren't those two over there humping through the rice paddies locked and loaded?

    They were busy micromanaging the war and writing impossible rules of engagement. We have the same problem today in Afghanistan.
