Greetings from the North East (USA)

Hello.

A condensed statement of faith:
- I fully agree with the 1689 Baptist Confession; which could technically make me a Reformed Baptist.
- The King James Version of the Holy Bible is the perfect Bible for the English language; with the original Hebrew and Greek, being always preserved and infallible.

I've long viewed discussions on here and decided to join; as I came to believe what is slandered as 'Calvinism' through diligent independent Bible study. Said personal study was later confirmed as reliable, by looking into 'traditional' Christian teachings; all of which before the massive Evangelical-Industrial Complex reared it's ugly head.

I hope to be a blessing to fellow believers.
A blessing both to those who are stubbornly attached to 'free-will', and to my fellow so-called 'Calvinists' who probably have never read 'the Institutes' and rely fully on Scripture.

 

Thanks Jerome for the image reply. The ARBCA Missions image has great composition and color. I really had no idea Reformed Baptists would even approve of it.
I was hesitant to use an image, such as the one for my profile pic, as they are completely foreign to me. Despite being involved in art previously. Religiously, they were often all thrown in the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox category. Perhaps my Baptist background is more Puritan than I realize.

I had no idea, but when I looked up ARBCA Missions; I realized it was their website which I had used for my own copying and studying of the 1689 Baptist Confession. Previously, I'd been looking for a reliable looking online source of the 1689 Confession, and they seemed to be careful with their copy. Others often had major/slight rewording, or typos.

Thanks for the welcome and it's good to hear of another believer who relies on the KJV.

This is an interesting thing that I am finding out. It seems that, like myself, most so-called 'Calvinists' believe such doctrine straight from Scripture itself. Amen to that, as it proves the truth of such a matter.
This very much relates to the question I am asking in the thread: "How did you arrive at Calvinism?"
