Nope, I have a quibble with today's Christian who thinks their prayer power creates a hedge around others.

I do. I think you are wrong and trying to appease.

Apparently yes. I have heard many a Pentacostal attempt to use emotion to move God to action by yelling, flopping on the floor and displaying almost demonic actions. They are the ones "praying a hedge" around someone. It's mysticism that borders on demonism.

They understands perfectly, Because in their world God is the Cause of all their trouble anyways. In fact they needs protection from God.

Soon probably not going to pray for anything at all.

Ultimately If God already decided everything why pray? you must not trust God to have to request anything, or think you are the boss, or know better.

    Google--> Calvinist don't pray.

    Think about the Lord's prayer.

When you pray -> Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Shouldn't have to pray it since his will is always done anyways. When they get to that point.....no prayers

"Thy will be done." Just as God taught us to pray.
No troubles. Various trials, but no troubles.
Only those who are fighting against God need protection from God.
Prayer aligns your rebellious heart in submission to God's perfect will. Prayer brings peace.

Sounds like your giving yourself credit for praying and fixing yourself.

    You are man centered.

The Lord's Prayer seems to including asking for guidance so that we will avoid temptation, and if we are in trouble, asking God to deliver us from evil.

I am not sure why we are told to "plead the blood of Christ?" If we do not believe in our hearts that Jesus sacrifice saves us from God's wrath, shouting it to heaven will not help. Perhaps the idea is to provide a focused gospel presentation, where we plead with the lost to trust wholly in the blood of Christ.

Sure.... I'm glad to get a laugh out of you. :)

Don't worry I will do the GOOD WORK of Prayer, to align my rebellious heart in submission to God's perfect will.

    And thus save my soul.

Prayer doesn't save your soul, utilyan. Is that what your priest has told you?

Salvation is even easier than the prayer....

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. - Acts 16:30-31

    I said that.
I brought up the phrase "I pray a hedge around you" because I hear and see people who think they have some mystical power within themselves that taps into God and his angels to command them to protect people.
In specific, the phrase was tossed around as a meme with the idea that such prayers would protect US troops from being harmed in battle. It has no spiritual merit and is being used as though it were an incantation of protection against foes.
Mr Mitchell, I'm not buying your theory.

That is Word of faith, and they are teaching heresy! Not one verse in the NT that commands us to plead the blood over someone or against Satan, but instead we "claim" be trusting in Jesus and his finished work upon the Cross our salvation!

Oh! I see, so you need to create a strawman to have something to argue against. Got it. You are so eat up with finding the human effort boogeyman that you are blinded to reality and what scripture says. Got it. You have an innate need to fill threads up with your hate filled anti-non- cal attacks. Got it. You refuse grow up. Got it.
