In 23 years, retired in 2014. I am sure there are some things, but I can't think of anything I do that was learned from the military.

Gig line. That is one thing.

    a) how long were you in?
    4 years
    b) how long have you been out?
    47 years

    C) What do you still do, that the military (that includes the Marines) taught you to do?
    * It taught me to gripe and I still do that, does that count?
    * To wake up early
    * To show respect to people in authority even when I didn't feel respect
    * It taught me situational awareness which I still do and has saved my family in what could have been dangerous times

    a) how long were you in?
    4 years... Reserve 2
    b) how long have you been out?
    51 years

I drove a Marine tank in Nam and when I left they wouldn't let me keep it... They took my M1 and 45 too!

I left the spit and polish there

What they taught me... Respect for God, Country and Old Glory!

When I got out they put on my DD-214 civilian occupation tractor driver... That's no fun... No gun!... Brother Glen:Biggrin

    A. In 4 years.
    B. Out 42.
    C. If I'm standing in line somewhere my arms go to my side and my fingers grip the side of my pants until I realize I am doing it. Or, I will cross my arms behind my back, holding one hand in the other. I have seen others do the same thing and you immediately know they were also in the military.
