At the beginning of Season 6, on Hogan Heroes, Sgt. James Kinchloe (as Ivan Dixon ) is no longer at Stalig 13. Replacing him is Sgt Baker (Kenneth Washington) No mention is made of Kinchloe, escaping, being transferred, or killed by the Germans.
So what would be your back story as to what happen to Sgt Kinchole?

Also in the Season 1 - Eps 1, Carter was a LT. After that he was a Sgt First Class.
I would like to have seen him remain as a LT - How about you?

Sgt. Kinchlow became the first and only POW to ever escape from Stalag 13. Luckily for Col. Klink, he was in the hospital after having saved General Burkhalter's life by taking a bullet intended for the General which was fired by Major Hochstedder after he and the General had a spat.

Col. Klink's record for having no escapes under his command thus remained intact and he was not sent to the Eastern Front as punishment. His replacement as Commandant during his hospitalization however was not so lucky and was was sent to the Eastern Front as punishment for the escape where he was subsequently killed during the Third Battle of Kharkov.

One afternoon in early July of 1944, mail call was announced and Col. Hogan received a letter from Sgt. Kinchlow who wrote saying he was fine and that after having been discharged he was working at a ammunition plant near Pismo Beach.

    How's that?

Did you see the episode where Sgt. Schultz becomes the Commandant? Let's just say all the new power he suddenly has goes quickly to his head.
