Jesus tells us when He returns , it will be like the time of Noah. The Nephilim had corrupted all flesh, and violence filled the earth.
It is going to happen just like it did in Noah's time.
If some tries to teach you otherwise, it is a false prophet speaking.
There are people who claim the world must be christianized before Christ's return and we hand a perfected kingdom to him. And the reason Christ has not returned is Christians have not converted the world, so He can not return.

But Christ say this instead.

Luke 17:26
And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
Luke 17:27
They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

It will be like this at that time for the earth,
Genesis 6
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

 

The ones preaching and teaching this "take over" for sake of Christ are mainly in the Dominion/WoF/modern Apostles and prophets movements!

 

I left a church over a youth pastor teaching this to the kids and young adults somewhat secretly. He had thoroughly corrupted the pastor and elders to his POV, but it was not know by anyone I knew in the congregation that this was being done. I got disciplined for speaking out about it, and finally left. Their doctrines really changed a lot over a few decades. They do believe in modern day prophets and apostles, and that there is no Antichrist, and wont be any destruction of this world, look at the fruit of it, not in line with what scriptures teach anymore. And you could not speak with them, you could not open a bible and show them anything and have them change their minds, they would say we are worried about you, be careful who you talk to about this, etc... After I left, 2 of the elders died of serious illness, others left, the pastor resigned and the youth pastor became the head pastor.

What they did listen to and consider was when one of their prophets would speak aloud, that was more relevant than what the bible has to say.

 

All of this theological junk bein g passed into the Church today is pretty much just revived Christian Gnosticism!

Some elites have hidden and secret spiritual knowledge God showed just to them!

 

Pat Robertson prophetically said Trump would win, so we may add that one to his long list of false prophecies, I hope Trump wins, but I am not going to claim God told me that, why should I lie like them?

And if you notice, many of the old testament prophets spoke disasters coming from the Lord onto the people because of their sins and evil doings. So any prophet that speaks nothing but good things happening for the wicked, is a red flag. Where is the command to depart from their wicked ways?, or else get ready for a certain destruction.

 

I strongly disagree with this statement. I looked more to the Lord. I thanked & praised him for sparing our country from further destruction & giving us another chance. I never felt that people were praising Trump in the way you mentioned.

 

At one of Trump’s recent rallies, North Carolina I think, Someone in the crowd said something to the effect of ‘You’re the greatest!’ to Trump. Trump’s quick retort was, paraphrasing.......No. Not even close. You are wrong. Jesus is the Greatest. Always.

 

I am not stating anyone in specfic did, but did get the real feeling that some had put their trust in trump, almost the same way way some Dems felt about the so called "black Messiah"

 

Elvis said the same things in his concert about jesus as the true King, but his fans still kept almost worshipping him!

 

We don't have to know why this or that happens per God's timing and purposes. We are just called to be faithful to him regardless.

 

One would hope that none did or have. There is only one Messiah.

Some of those around me have extreme views on trump, some that he was an antichrist, others like a political messiah, and they were all Christians!

 

Now Biden say be patient and let democratic process work out, while trump claiming victory will be announced friday!

Article goes through the false teaching of Dominionism here, they believe all these false things, courtesy of the pastor, but not all in that church believe that stuff.
He does not actively teach it in church sunday sermons today that I know of anyway.
Another belief is this earth is the new earth and we live in the time of the new heavens and new earth, right now. Even though Peter during the church age, said 'looking forward to new heavens and a new earth in which dwells righteousness', so we cant be experiencing it now can we...look how evil the world is today.
