    Don't you believe the Bible?

    You would think so but LSers vehemently deny it.

    What Eph 2:8 says:
    8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

    What Eph 2:8 does NOT say:
    8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith alone; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

    What do you mean that they deny it?

    They deny that the scriptures teach justification NOT by faith alone. They insist that justification is by faith alone and ignore the other justifications:

    13 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified: Ro 2
    24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Ro 3
    1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
    9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him. Ro 5
    33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God`s elect? It is God that justifieth; Ro 8

    They taught that real salvation produces good works and a changed life, but it is progressive!

    They would agree that Jesus is the Lord, but not how Lordship theology tends to frame it!

    No, Paul referring to us us being justified before Holy God, James referring to our saving faith having proof to others now really saved!

    Pauline Justification holds to being saved by grace alone, thru faith alone, do you?

    I don't know if this thread is going in the direction that I intended. Can anyone prove that Lordship salvation was taught by Luther, Calvin, and the other original Reformers?

    To your first question: No
    To your second question: I haven't read any early reformers to seek out that specific question. My basic response is that the perseverance of the saints in trusting God is an early form of Lordship salvation whereby the saint lives in faith that Jesus is indeed Lord and the saint glorifies his King through obedience.

    Be careful with this. There are many rooms in the Christians life that have yet to be cleaned. Can you specify your comment?
