I think if God wanted pastors there they would be there. Remember Christ asked if there would be faith on earth when he returned.

And there's the practical effect of Calvinism on the gospel.
Thank God William Carey didn't listen to the elder discouraging him from reaching the heathen because "when it please God to save the heathen, he will do it without your help" (paraphrasing).

I agree ... and with all due respect to pastors who have already served in foreign countries, what are your thoughts about Christianity reinstatement in void areas of our own country and Canada? I’m troubled that where I’m living today is void of Christian life and keep feeling the need but I’m ill equipped to do the job properly.

I would take Calvinism over any Catholic or Orthodoxy iterations any day. And these entertainment churches are frankly a big joke.

False dichotomy. I reject them all.

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Rom. 10:14-15)

This passage tells us that it is God's will for Japanese churches to have pastors. When people don't answer the missionary call to Japan, Japanese people don't get saved. When Japanese people don't get saved, Japanese men are not called to preach.

Jesus said things will dry up, no faith on earth, much like today. If the elect were there, the right people would be there. He said all that the Father gives to him will come to him.

You are misinterpreting. Jesus was not prophesying that there would be no faith on the earth when He came. He was asking a rhetorical question to make a point in His discourse.

I believe that great revivals are still possible and will happen, even in Buddhist Japan, one of the most difficult countries on earth for the Gospel. God sent great revivals there in the Meiji Era, then with the Taikou Dendo of 1900 with thousands saved, then with the great work under Charles Cowman (1868-1924) and Nakada Juuji (中田 重治, 1870–1939).

We supported a Man in Youth for Christ who spent 4 years over in Japan, had 7 saved during his mission work, and he came back and is now a state trooper in believe Idaho!

I'm sorry that he didn't stay longer, but of course I'm not his judge.

he always felt that he was there to shepherd and start up a local flock, and that was time to then move on!

You have too many manmade Catholic-inspired doctrines to see the plain teaching of Amillennialism. This is what Jesus taught. Also the Apostles. It gets worse, not better. Read the whole passage.

“And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”” Luke 18:7–8 (ESV)

Oh, brother. Somehow you got from the shortage of pastors in Japan (of which you are entirely ignorant; I spent 33 years there) to Calvinism and then amillennialism. Ridiculous. Talk about derailing a thread. Please, dismount from your hobby horse.

I stand by what I wrote. You misinterpreted a rhetorical question as prophecy.

I'm proving that you do not understand that None of God's elect will fall short of salvation. I see this as a good thing if you consider how deceived most pastors are today.

Jump to all the clueless conclusions you wish to, but you and I have never discussed my theology, that I recall. :p

At any rate, please note that this is a "Baptist Fellowship" area of the BB, so it is inappropriate to argue theology here. Have a good day.

It may be that the Japanese need to examine the Evangelical Christian-Baptist paradigm instead of the Anglo-American in pastoral training.

I'll let you hide where you want but you shouldn't need to if you know the truth.
