    As God.
The expression "unique God" at the Father's side is a nonsense statement. The Father is the one God. And Jesus Christ is the one Lord. 1 Corinthians 8:6. And so as the man, 1 Timothy 2:5.

Why is the issue of correct readings not used in translation ridiculous? Or is only what you disagree with is ridiculous?

δειπνου γενομενου supper being ended happens to be 99.5% of the mss.
The oldest ms P66 has the ,"supper being ended" with a spelling error.
δειπνου γινομενου during supper. Are a small 0.3% of the mss.

Well, Daniel Wallace believes the Majority Text became dominant by the 9th century --the 800s.

In my book Fundamentals of New Testament Textual Criticism by Stanley E. Porter and Andrew Pitts, it says :
Several other questions are left unanswered by the Majority text approach as well. Statistical probability of documents simply cannot explain why no distinctively Byzantine readings are identifiable in the Greek manuscripts, church fathers, or versions from the first several centuries -- certainly some remains would have been left, even if the manuscripts were in constant use. If the Majority text most accurately reflects the original, we would expect some traces of it chronologically close to the original. These significant obstacles for the Majority text approach still have not been convincingly overcome by its adherents. (p. 92)

Not good information at all. Its been well known for a long time there are Byzantine readings in even the Papyrus manuscripts. Codex A is Byzantine in the Gospels. Codex W was once dated 2nd century but is Byzantine in most of Matthew. All manuscripts are at least partially Byzantine. No reason to play propaganda with the bible.

This is silly. Talk about straining at a gnat...Oh I'm sorry; "a small fly".
    A) Context.
    B) In the KJB, Christ reframes thou shalt not kill as thou shalt do no murder (Mt.19:18).
Thus scripture defines scripture, without having to change the words. Imagine that.

But "kill" is still a goof in the KJV's (NOT "KJB"S) Ex. 20:13. That goof has been exploited by many "pacifists" & anti-capital-punishment" loons.

I had a little beef at lunch. Someone killed a bovine & made it possible for me to eat that beef.

This is off topic. Hebrew issues of translation has nothing to do with the Greek text. Start your own thread.

Hebrew and Greek are both in Scripture. The OT is as much Scripture as the NT.

Only New Testament texts were specified being replaced by corrupt readings.
There are other New Testament texts at issue being changed in error.

John 1:18 - Some Patristic Evidence

    John 1:17b-18 in Codex Alexandrinus.

John 1:18 contains one of the most significant textual variants in the New Testament: did John write ὁ μονογενὴς υἱός – “the only-begotten Son” – as the vast majority of Greek manuscripts read, or ὁ μονογενης θεος” – “the only begotten God – as a few Alexandrian manuscripts read? Or did John write μονογενης θεος (without the Greek article ὁ)? Or did John write something else?

If mere quantities of witnesses were decisive, the question would be settled in a moment: about 1,610 Greek manuscripts read ὁ μονογενὴς υἱός. Seventeen Greek manuscripts read υἱός accompanied by a minor variation. (Details from Text und Textwurk: 225, 352*, 581, 1126, 1171, 1651, 2311 and 2462 read ὁ μονογεννὴς υἱός and 2546 reads ὁ μονογενὴς ὁ υἱός and 2479 and 2528 read μονογενὴς υἱός, and 2192 reads ὁ μονογενὴς υἱός του θεου and 1116 reads ὁ μονογενὴς γαρ υἱός; the other variants are trivial.) Seven Greek manuscripts read θεός, of which only five – P66, À*, B, C*, and L – do not have the article ὁ before μονογενὴς.

The reading adopted in NA27 is attested in .3% of the extant Greek manuscripts. Here, as elsewhere, one may sense the inconsistency of those who speak about “an embarrassment of riches” in the church’s textual treasury and then proceed to adopt readings which imply that 99.7% of the coins are counterfeit.

Rather than observe such an overwhelming wave of evidence and call it a day, we should consider ancient evidence – and when we do, this contest becomes less lopsided.
