I probably messed up. I was born again and raised a baptist. But since I was not being fed in my baptist church I last went to. I found a church with my friend which is non baptist. So I put christian not baptist. (I did not want to lie) Looks Ike I am prety much limited on any fellowship. And discussing of the word. Most of those threads are baptist only :(

Welcome to the BB you two!... Do you know each other?... To Duckie, there is plenty of scripture on here and many interpretations of it... To Eternally Grateful pick the fellowship you want, there are many to go around... Navigate around the BB you two and if you get lost or need help don't be afraid to ask... IOW... Take off your coat, sit a spell and make yourselves comfortable... You're among friends... Brother Glen:)

You say you attend the church your friend belongs too and wasn't being fed in your church, so you went to your friends church... Have you joined that church?... If not you are still Baptist... What does your heart say?... Brother Glen:)

I actually am a home church leader in that church. And I teach home group and also help lead a men’s bible study cell group.

I am always a baptist at heart. I left that church because the pastor would only do his 20 minute sermonette and actually they went through two pastors in 5 years due to sin. My best friend growing up invited me to his and it reminded me of the through the Bible doctrine teachings I used to get at my old church.

Looks like I can;t change my answer though so. I am stuck, I will look around sure I can find some discussion

I have been on the BB for over twenty years and if I was you I would send a private message to powers that be on here and if they haven't seen your post by now they will... They always look at new members... They may send you one and you don't need too... Wait and see!... To me you have so much to offer as a Baptist, it would be a crime with your experience to shut you out... How many Baptist are on here because they didn't leave the church, the church left them?... I think with my over 50 years in the Baptist Church, I know a thing or two... Like the scriptures say... You have not because you ask not... Ask... Both of you!... A label is a label... Ya see, sorry I am slow, at the age of 76 while I was writing this, the change already occurred... All I can say is... Squire you are fast!... Brother Glen:Thumbsup

Now you other brethren show a little kindness to this old timer:)

By "baptist" the board refers to affirming what it means to be a Baptist (the distinction), not church membership (we have a Reformed Baptist who preaches at a Methodist church).

These are believers baptism (that true baptism us for the believer), the "priesthood" of the believer (we have a direct access to God, i.e., no priest), autonomous churches....etc.
