That is interpreting Scripture through your theology rather than allowing Scripture to dictate your theology.

JonC, you are assuming to know whether he came to his theology through studying scripture or not. You don’t know that.

I came to believe the doctrines of grace through studying scripture long before I knew there was such contentiousness about these doctrines.

Please do not presume to know personal motivations, mental processes and histories when you cannot possibly have that kind of first hand knowledge.

    peace to you

You can say that if you want, but Ezk 33 applies to Gods chosen people Israel. God doesnt desire the wicked whom He created to be vessels of wrath and He himself fits them for destruction, to repent and live, that is opposite to His purpose, God is of One Mind, who can turn Him.

Except passages like Matthew 11 stand in opposition to that idea.

No it doesnt. In fact in Matt 11 Jesus Thanks His Father that He hides Truth from some people, those are the vessels of wrath. Matt 11:25-26

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Now if God desired to save them, His will would see to it that they come to knowledge of the Truth, He wouldn't hide it from them ! 1 Tim 2:4

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

The problem with your understanding of scripture is in your own words. "Now if God desired to save them, His will would see to it that they come to knowledge of the Truth"
    You equating Desire with Force.

So if God does not "desire"/ force them to come that means that they are doomed to hell. The person can not force their way into heaven can they?
