    Inflation Calculator

This link can compute the inflation of money from one year to following years.

There is also several items of interest about inflation and deflation.

The Federal Reserve Act was passed by the Congress in 1913. A 1914 dollar had the purchasing power of 3.6 cents in 2022.

Clearly, the Federal Reserve Act has been a ginormous disaster for those who are opposed to the devaluation of the U.S. dollar.

Are we surprised by hyper inflation?

    *Revelation 6:5-6*
When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”

If you understand these seals to be happening right now, you will understand that God's sovereign work is being done.

God has us in the palm of his hand.

Luke 16:19-21 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

When I did the conversion -
"$1.16 in 2022 has the same purchasing power as $1 in 2014.

The total inflation rate from 2014 to 2022 is 16.32%. The average inflation rate from 2014 to 2022 is 1.91% per year"

Sorry. I have now edited my post. I meant 1913 and 1914. Thank you for pointing that out.

Just to show how insidious inflation by the Federal Reserve is - if they consistently hit their stated goal of 2% inflation for 10 years straight, then the purchasing value of $100 will decrease to $82.03.

The goal must be 0% annual inflation. Period.
