Beware of your Pastor

So true! But, I don't say what I don't mean. Let him use it if he wishes.

 

He forgets one thing, what may apply to the hearers might apply to the deliver too!... We all walk with feet of clay!... Does he preach a sermon or does he live the sermon he preaches?... We are all under the microscope but he has the greater responsibility, he's the messenger... Does he himself live the message... Brother Glen

Btw... He forgot to use himself in the cup!

 

Did he really forget? Or are you reading into things? I'm pretty sure we all know that we all walk with feet of clay. If someone doesn't realize that, they're really not too bright. As the messenger, I believe it's already established that he's responsible to "live the message." If he doesn't, he shouldn't even be involved in the delivery.

 

Not to worry. Some favorite sermon illustrations are the things (other) pastors do or say.

 

I will neve forget what a pastor said when he got into the stand... He said I've heard people say I'll NEVER find the perfect church... Do you want to know why?... BECAUSE I'M IN IT!... Put that on your cup!... If we have that attitude we could face each other and God with more Gratitude... Brother Glen

 

Quite true, but so much easier to swallow when it says, “Because you’re in it!”
