    took a while to put it all together

    when I heard regeneration precedes repentance and faith and are “grace gifts” that sealed it

    I remember a SS teacher attempting to explain that “predestined” didn’t really mean predestined. He couldn’t really explain it away other than to say something about “free will” and “robots”.

    So I looked the word up. It is a construction term referring to “marking” the land before hand. So, before the foundation of the world, God marked us to adoption as sons.

    It was the first time I saw someone teaching the Bible disregard the plain meaning for their own “wished for” meaning…. Or at least it was the first time I noticed it.
