    No, the Mayor should not b considered like a governor. Military should be in complete control.

    But in the States/Commonwealth -the military is NOT in complete control - The Governor is.
    And as I mentioned before, DC has a larger population than 2 states - Should the Guard of those states be run only by the military?

    How about this - so the Washington has a mayor.
    Should DC then elect a governor?

    From some accounts, the need was known well prior to Jan 6, but was dismissed by certain Dems, including those in charge of DC.

    There has been a general pattern of Dems assisting rioting and overrunning the border. Harris and Biden promised more of it.

    Allowing anything new that supposedly helps them solve the problems they are creating will be a mistake.

    The DC national guard reports to the POTUS. I'm good with that.

    Lets say the Mayor was in charge of the DC NG - the POUTUS would still be in overall control anyways

    Only when activated under title 10. The issue Is have is that DC is technically under congressional jurisdiction. DC is the seat of our nations government. It cannot be treated as a state by purpose.
