Excellent message this past Sunday by Richard Warmack, pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Ruston, on the doctrine of election as part of a continuing verse-by-verse study of the book of Ephesians.

I agree with Richard, even though Election isn't Salvation in the Spiritual sense, it is in the legal sense, and it ensures Salvation in the Spiritual sense. The elect were legally saved in their election in Christ before the world began, which ensured their Holy Calling in time 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

    I agree!... Brother Glen:)

Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

    Music to my ears!

Just like in the Old days.

    "Sound", in the Faith!

Not blown about by every wind of doctrine.

We have always also spoken of it as someone who knows the "truth".

My first Pastor taught me "the truth", so I cried like a baby all throughout his funeral.

So, what would, "the truth", be referring to? The Doctrines of Grace, of course, just like so many sound Baptists, of old!
