Featured ~Sigh~ I'm Back - for This Reason....

I understand, Scarlett. It's gonna feel like a LONG campaign between now and November 5, especially for someone like me who disagrees with the progressivism of Kamala Harris and the national conservatism of Donald Trump.

 

I’m glad you are back. I appreciate your comments and understand your frustration, which I share on this issue.

It is unseemly for Christians (mostly men) to post such vulgarity, especially in the politics forum.

We should not be focusing on past sins to include sexual exploits. Both have been guilty of them in the past. I think the issue with her being biracial is she is being treated by the left as if she is African American and therefore also a victim of past slavery in this country. She isn't and her being biracial is not really a factor for people. I have not seen many posts on her as I am not around much myself. The vitriol and attacks have wore thin for me. The list you put out is a reasonable list to be concerned about if that is what you are seeing.

Trump has a mouth and I wish he would temper it. Recently at the RNC Franklin Graham wrote him a note and asked him to stop the cussing. He read it out loud in his speech and did so. What Trump has done is lift up Christ in the Rose Garden as President multiple times. When people tell him he is the greatest he tells them he is not and there is someone who is greater Jesus Christ. His biggest flaw is the way in which he talks.

Reagan was not quite as bad but Reagan used to get into back and forth with the press all the time and was quite passionate. He used very strong language and criticized them frequently.

Some people do not like his "National Conservatism" on this board but it is what the country was founded on. There is a need, of late, to give a greater emphasis on it because the inroads made by the globalists. Now we have all been rather vitriolic around here at times but lately I am like you I do not have the stomach to tolerate it and a few other things on this board. I check in ever once in a while but....

There's an old student of mine with radical beliefs and a distant relative that I put in a personal 30-day FB jail once in a while when they get out-of-hand.
Otherwise I generally only see material from family and friends.

I don't do politics on social media.

Well, I did share a pic recently of DT with that funny looking square bandage on his ear - "a nurse would have bandaged it better!"

I'm not looking to get riled up over someone's political spam.

As a Christian, I don't get threads like this. I really don't.

The American Political System of today has little regard for righteousness and the welfare of the Church. There's very little genuine civility in it.

Nonetheless, the Lord my God is still Sovereign. Therefore, I just focus on serving the Lord.

 

My kids set me up with a Facebook page about 10 years ago. The first time I logged in, I had over 100 “friends requests” from total strangers from all over the world. I logged out and never went back.

As I see it, having several family members that are involved in politics, everyone wants to give their "side" the best light and the other total obliteration.Personally, I don't want either one of these people in office but will vote for the one who is less destructive to America and its citizenry. IMHO, it wouldn't be Ms. Harris. I don't care if she's black, white, Indian, Asian or Martian. If she had any character she would have declined the "appointment" to being the nominee and would have run in a primary...she didn't. She claims to care about the voters, but she disenfranchised over 14 million. Trump, with his childish outbursts, his constant self-worship isn't any better making blatantly false claims about everything from stopping border crossings to making the economy the best since WWII. I wish the people would have chosen better candidates...but, they didn't. These are apparently whom the Lord wants us to consider. So...I guess that's what we hve to do. All I can say is "Get out and vote!"

Well yea… I’m of the same mind …. So I’m not following either candidate. Now the Yankees are in 1st place AL East Had to slip that in.
