Donald Trump Advocates Socialism on IVF

Now if the government provides a "safety net" for those unable to conceive, but wanting to conceive, it is a bad, socialist program.
All these efforts to change the subject to DJT, instead of the misery created by the Biden/Harris administration is simply shameful.

DJT tells his audience what he thinks, and sometimes his thinking misses the mark. But the other side speaks of providing jobs, joy, and just about everything good. But never about their open border, their high inflation, their weaponization of the Justice Department, the increase in drug overdose deaths, and so forth. Not to mention Ukraine and Gaza.

When you see argumentation by the "against the person" fallacy, beware, as those using it are not on the side of truth.

I not a Trump fan, but obviously the government paying for a medical procedure (like vacinations or the procedure in the clip) is not socialism.

Trump is just pandering for votes. And he will not do what he claims in this case because he wouldn't have the political support.

No so much "pandering" as cleaning up an unforced error. :)

And if the election results in an effective majority in the house and senate, bills to protect the reproductive care of women may well be popular. Recall the terrible case of Black women having 3 times as high a pregnancy mortality rate as Whites or Asians or Hispanic.

Oh, trust me, Van. It's pandering for votes. Plain and simple.

If he wants to have insurance companies pay all or part, fine. But to say the government will pay - that's pandering.

If insurance companies are forced by the government to pay for this, guess what will happen to the insurance rates for everybody, even those who will never use it?

The Dems have pushed lots of disinformation concerning DJT position of abortion.

In a statement, Sarafina Chitika, a spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign, said that "Donald Trump’s own platform could effectively ban IVF and abortion nationwide" and that "because Trump overturned Roe v. Wade, IVF is already under attack and women’s freedoms have been ripped away in states across the country.
So to fight back, DJT seems to have gone a little overboard, but requiring insurance companies to cover such and such via regulatory mandates is a common practice. The cost is recovered from the costs for the policies.

Same thing with insurance rates for people who never need cancer payments or other procedures. Insurance is a racket at best.

I don't want to see the government pay for the treatment, but I am OK with requiring insurance companies to cover IVF.
