I am not neutral. I am supporting Kamala Harris. I want to see Trump and National Conservatism defeated at the ballot box on November 5.

In my opinion, the Mises Caucus has effectively destroyed the Libertarian Party and, for all practical purposes, changed it from a political party into an advocacy group(much like the Modern Whig Party in the 2010s decided to forget about running candidates and to be an advocacy group called the Modern Whig Institute). I have not renewed my Libertarian Party membership since the Mises Caucus took over in 2022; thus, I now consider myself a free agent, electorally speaking.

Perhaps someone can gain control of the Libertarian Party away from the Mises Caucus and rebuild it for 2028. Just have to wait and see.

It actually doesn't matter. The DNC is trying to make presidential ballots exclude 3rd parties and independents. I guess people could write in, but that will effectively kill 3rd parties. They will have to assimilate into one of two parties or remain politically obsolete.

I consider both parties both corrupt & incredibly inept. Your term, “politically obsolete” is interesting considering you Jon has claimed your disinterest in this election cycle. Ken however claimed that he is a Absolute Predestination doctrine adherent however he will also support the DNC abortion agenda…. WOW, just plain wow!

    Not disinterest. Non-participation.

I believe these elections are valuable in examining the heart and mind of our nation. Unfortunately they also reveal a lot about the state of Chriatianity as well.

Take Ken for example. We could question his choice in supporting a platform, but we could with Trump supporters as well.

The interesting part is his claim to be libertarian while supporting Harris (supporting calls to censorship, restricted ballots, increased government control). Whether the best choice or not, Harris is further from libertarianism than is Trump.

Examining how people react to politics gives insight into the mind of Americans.

Libertarians supporting Harris is pretty self-defeating.

Christians defending Trump, or supporting the DNC......strange days indeed.

There are many out there claiming Christianity that will be told that He never knew them. It isn’t my place to judge however all ya do need to do is look for the fruit. I prefer to leave things like politics in His hands where it always belongs.

I do not support the Democratic Party abortion agenda. I approve of Roe v. Wade being overturned. However, I disagree with the Supreme Court's reason to do so. The reason they should have cited is that there is no constitutional warrant for the federal government to be involved in the abortion issue. I understand why they didn't cite the proper reason, as it would have opened the door to challenges of lots of actions of the federal government for which there is no constitutional warrant for the federal government to be involved in.

The U.S. Constitution was not designed to have political parties; both George Washington and John Adams sternly warned against their creation. The American people should have listened to Washington and Adams on that subject.

This is a misunderstanding many have.

If you buy a Playboy magazine because you like the articles you are in reality supporting pornography even of you are personally opposed to it.

    Same with political support.

Even if one thing sways your support you are supporting the whole.

There are no people who vote for a Democrat candidate that does not actively support abortion, censorship, and big government. They may be opposed to those ideas, but in the end they support those things because other issues are more important to them.

Salvation by works is a false gospel, in which there is no salvation; just as free-willism based on fallen man meeting conditions of some kind is a false gospel, in which there is no salvation. Salvation is only by the free, sovereign grace of God. Period.

Yep. It was entertained that the VP be the guy in second place.

But that doesn't really matter as those days are long gone. A two party system was bound to happen.

The DNC are really just trying to make it official by excluding and libertarian, independent, or 3rd party candidate from ballots.

In reality we are already there. The only purpose those 3rd party candidates have is to take away from one party.

So those who vote for Donald Trump are supporting the whole of his promiscuous lifestyle, including having 5 children by 3 different women, according to your reasoning.

Totally wrong reasoning on your part. You are assuming that if someone votes for a candidate other than a Democrat or Republican, that he would have voted for one of those two candidates if the candidate he voted for was not on the ballot. That is incorrect as he might not have voted at all or written someone in.

No. Not anymore than those who support Harris are supporting adultery.

BUT those who support Trump are supporting all of his platform. They are supporting the government providing IVF, no taxes on overtime, tariffs, expelling illegal immigrants...regardless of how they feel about those issues.

Those who support Harris are supporting abortion, censorship, the government paying for gender altering surgeries for immigrants, gender change surgeries for minors, etc. regardless of how they feel about those issues.

Voters do not get to choose which parts of a platform they are voting for. They vote for the whole.

I agree. But we won't get back to those ideals.

The DNC has stood for a progressive view of our founding documents. The GOP is pretty much there as well.

At this point, I haven't voted at all. I remember an election years 36 years ago, I went to bed planning to vote one way, woke up the morning of the election and voted a different way.

In every election after I ran for Congress in 2014, I have found it rather difficult to work up the motivation to go and vote. I have no idea what will take place many weeks from now. I might wake up on the day I plan to go vote and have a cold or just feel lethargic(which seems to happen sometimes now that I am retired) and decide to not go vote at all.
