I think you're referring to the Grace Evangelical Society. I'm familiar with the name of one the staff members, Bob Wilkin. He teaches that intellectual assent about who Jesus is and what He did is all that is necessary to be saved. I think that theology has some serious problems and seems to be in line with with Ruckman/Kim/Breaker teach.

He once debated Dr. James White. I would implore you to have a listen and also consider what 1 John teaches about the nature of a regenerate Christian.

GES and free grace people teach we only need to believe Christ is Saviour.

We are adding to Gospel if need to believe the dbr.

Right, but like Kim, they teach that works/fruits aren't necessary and that there doesn't need to be evidence of a changed life.

I know you may not have access to YouTube in your country, but I'd like you to consider a verse that came up in the Wilkin/White debate during the cross-examination.

1 John 3:15 - Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

In light of what John wrote in his epistle, is it your understanding that a Christian can hate his brother and have eternal life?

It depends on how they define "belief".

If they mean a "godly sorrow producing repentance leading to salvation" then they are right. Biblically faith has two parts (repent and believe). Repentance is a change of mind, changing from "a mind set on the flesh, which is death" to "a mind set on the Spirit, which is life". A "mind set on the Spirit" produces "fruits of the Spirit" while a "mind set on the flesh" produces fruits of the flesh".

If they mean a cognitive belief, and "dead useless faith" that produces no works of the Spirit then they are wrong abd will, unfortunately, hear "I never knew you" at Judgment. They are lost. Christians are never stillborn.

You need to stop doing this - DO NOT just put "title" especially when the title tells you nothing - in the future - such threads will be deleted. You OP should explain what you would like to see discussed.!!!
Actually, the title has to be descriptive of the OP discussion per BB rules.

All one need to do is trust the blood stained gospel. The change of life is after, won't affect salvation.

I have no idea where you get this "blood stained gospel" from,. It is like putting "blood stained" in front of anything makes it sound more devout. Dies not make srnce. The gospel is the "good news". It is not stained at all.

Anyway, I get the feeling you did not read my post.

Read it again.

I did not say one had to change in order to be saved.

I said that one must believe (belief includes repentance, it is turning from an old belief to a new belief).
Belief changes how we act.

If you believe a chair will support you snd come to believe the chair will not support you then your beluef keeps you out of that chair. If it doesn't, then you don't really believe.

So, all one need to be born again and be saved is to just turn from unbelief and.believe the Gospel?

Shawn, you said earlier that we are adding to the Gospel is works are included. I don’t know if you fully understand what the Gospel is. Would you agree that works are the necessary result of salvation?
The only result of salvation is eternal life

Changed life may or not happen. It depends on spiritual walk. But someone can be back slide and still be saved.

We can't lose it no.matter what.

You never answered my question from earlier.

1 John 3:15 - Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

How do you explain this, Shawn? Are you really going to say that you can believe in Jesus, hate your brother, and you’ll still be saved?

Yes, and 1 John is for fellowship.

Yes. Jesus said all we need to do is "repent and believe". He also said that when we do we will change and produce good works, works of the Spirit.
