I am sorry, you seem to have misunderstood my post. You had quoted 1 Thessalonians 4:16, which in the KJV includes the phrase "trump of God." You seemed to be applying it to Donald Trump. The word used is just an old word for "trumpet". It translates the Greek word salpigx, which means the musical instrument. As there is no evidence that it was referring to Donald Trump, I wondered if your post was a joke. I certainly didn't post from evil imaginations in my heart. Incidentally, the same Greek word occurs 11 times in the New Testament. In the KJV, 9 times it is translated "trumpet", and twice as "trump." The other verse with "trump" is:

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump <4536>: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I don’t like that, Christ came to Serve the sinner not dominate & control…and He knows full well who are or will be members of His flock, they have been handpicked by the Father (from before time began). Right now, they have an outraged party member (Cory Booker) railing at them…specifically Chuck Schumer .. and rightly so. If the Demo’s are serious then Chuck “the Schmuck’s” (that’s what they call him in NY) days as an active politician are numbered. And honestly, if I cared about politics at all, I’d encourage Booker to run the Dems and replace Chuck da Schmuck. As my wife has commented, Schumer is no Dammed good! And I can’t argue that truth.

They are also Fing with my City and this Eric Adams character needs to go away, maybe NY’s finest can find a rock for Adams to crawl under…just saying.

It’s good you don’t put your trust in men, it’s biblical, it’s sound, it’s fantastic.

Thus it follows that in not putting our trust in men, we must not put trust in ourselves.

This is where many believers can get REAL confused.

Does it mean that we must become arbiters of all that is true and good. No.

The humble man sits back and reserves Judgement, smokes his pipe, he prays and tries to see what God is doing out there, and does his daily duties according to his state in life anyway.

We contribute to Jesus victory by daily duty. We say Good morning to our God and wives and say I love you and thank you.

Our first disposition is outside ourselves but not outside of our duty.

What others are doing or not doing is irrelevant if it is outside our duty and concern in life.

A High Angel of God would pull turnips for all eternity if he knew that was God’s Will for him.

We Honour God by carrying out His Holy Will for us and living our state in life. Everything outside our orbit is noted, but is pointless to rant about, God is in charge.

Really, our only concern with politics is when we do our civic duty at election time, but afterward we do our duty quietly in the life we are given.

Our human concerns seem important to us, but Jesus transcends us. When Jesus asks us to do something, it might seem stupid to our minds at the time and all we have known, but if we do it, incredible fruitfulness follows.

We cast our net on the human side and bear the fruit we predicted, but if we cast the net on Jesus suggested side, we haul in far beyond our predictions.

If we are faithful to Jesus duties for us, one day He will guide us to a great act of Glory for Him, and we will bear much fruit.
