I am a member of a Baptist Chirch. The only thing I would disagree with traditional Baptist doctrine on is Church and State. I believe it’s the Christians job to seek to dominate and control the government, now cower to it.
Then our COTUS is wrong?

COTUS is not wrong. Modern interpretation by courts is wrong.
Founders had prayer in schools, prayer in govt, Bible in schools, our laws are based on Biblical law. Jefferson saw Christianity as necessary for our weak form of central govt to survive. The founders saw Jeffersons wall (which is found nowhere in The Constitution) as keeping govt out of Church but not Church out of government.

Even jefferson, who denied miracles and healings of Jesus in the Bible, used federal funds to support missionary efforts to evangelize among the native American tribes

1) There is that pesky First amendment that provides free expression of religion - any religion - Mormon, Muslim, Buddhist, ect....

2) The COTUS forbids any religious test for public office.

I know Christians are taught in the bible to pray for their leaders, but I cannot think of a Scripture passage that teaches us that Christians have to dominate and control their governments. Have you got any bible passages in mind for the idea that Christs are to dominate and control earthly governments?

Food for thought. The Founders only saw Christianity as the only true religion, the rest being pagans to convert, so freedom of religion was only about Christianity and its various expressions because of the persecution in the UK where most Americans can from. They would not have recognized any other religious group as having that right. If they believed in freedom of all religions they would have not sought to evangelize the Native Americas/People. Separation of Church and State only meant that the State could not interfere with the Church and could not establish a national religion like the Church of England.

We are to be salt and light. We can extend that into govt.

There is none.

But being salt and light isn't anything to do with dominating and controlling governments. Jesus told the disciples that they were light and should be salt, but we do not read of them making efforts to dominate and control the government of their time and place.
That was a totally different form of Govt. Our Govt is we the people.

The form of government makes no difference. If Christians in the New Testament, most of whom lived in part of the mighty Roman empire, were to pray for their leaders, and not make efforts to dominate and control them/their government, why should it be different for people who elect their governments? If, as you say, your government is "we the people," why should some of "we the people," i.e. those who are Christians, seek to dominate and control it?
