Christ the risen Saviour, not potential Saviour! 2

He saves them to the uttermost !

Those sinners Christ came to save, He came to save them to the uttermost as He lives to make intercession for them Heb 7:25

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

That word uttermost means :

all complete, entire

completely, perfectly, utterly

Yet in man's religion, He's a potential Saviour.

To say or even imply that Christ is merely a potential Saviour is a repudiation of the fact that its promised He shall save His People from their sins Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins.

Mans religion says Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall potentially save his people from their sins.

Facts:
Christ was the propitiation for the sins of the whole world.
Christ rose from the grave.
He said He would draw all to Himself.
We are not saved by His death but by His life.
He is the savior of the world. Not all are saved.
Why? Because He is the potential savior.
All people could be saved but only those that believe will be saved and those that reject Him will not be saved.

Pretty simple. Jesus either died for one’s sins or he didn’t. If He died for a persons sins, they are saved. Potential salvation is lunacy, IMO.

Well by your logic all are saved as He died for everyone's sins.

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

1Jn 2:2 He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

1Ti 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time.

Rom 5:6 For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

I could go on but I am sure you get the picture. He died for all but only those that freely trust in Him will be saved. Potential salvation.

So what is your point Reynolds?

The potential for salvation is there for those that believe. Neither His death or His resurrection guarantee salvation for anyone.

What is the promise declared in Matt 1:21

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

So are you saying that they did not have to believe in the risen Christ BF?

The potential for salvation is there for those that believe. His death nor His resurrection did not guarantee salvation for anyone.

All all the Jews, His people, saved BF?

His people” (Mat_1:21), “My people Israel” (Mat_2:6) and “the house of Jacob” (Luk_1:33) likely references ethnic Jews.

Two questions will need to be answered:
(1) Who are “His people,” and
(2) what does it mean that He will “save” them?

The cross guarantees the salvation of those The Father gives Him. (The elect)

I would say you have come to the wrong understanding of Eph 1:4. The cross covered the sins of the whole world the risen Christ provides the means of salvation for those that will freely trust in Him. Those that are in the "Elect One" through faith are then one of the elect not before.

BF you are just repeating the same thing over and over so I will just ignore you until you actually say something of consequence.

Answer the question then

What is the promise declared in Matt 1:21

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
