I tell them I'm a Baptist. They ask, what type of Baptist? I say, I'm a independent fundamental Baptist. They ask, are you a Calvinist?

By the time I explain why I'm not a Calvinist and answer the 3-4 questions associated with it, 10-15 minutes have passed.

They ask, what does it mean that you're an independent? By the time I explain why I'm an independent and answer the 3-4 questions associated with it, another 10-15 minutes have passed.

They ask, I've heard of the fundamentalists, what does that mean? By the time I explain why I'm a fundamentalist and answer the 3-4 questions associated with it, another 10-15 minutes have passed.

They ask, what steered you toward the Baptists? By the time I explain why I'm a Baptist and answer the 3-4 questions associated with it, another 10-15 minutes have passed.

I cong know the first IFB Calvinist. All of them I know are rabidly anti Cal.

KY I cannot speak for others but as foe me I disagree with calvinism because it is not biblical. The basis of calvinism is from augustine and his time in pagan philosophy.

Do the research yourself KY.

As a Christian I am commanded to stand against false teachings. Would expect me to do any less with the calvinist philosophy that calls into question the honesty and character of God?

The one that seems to be rabidly deranged is you in how you respond to any questioning of your religious views.
