Did Mr. Trump Lose The Midterms?

Speaking as someone outside of the US.

The reality is that his policies and his actions were on the ballot. Since they could not cast a vote for or against him they did so for those that either supported or opposed him.

The same thing happens here in Canada.
This is a stupid way to show up to vote. The reality is that people make dumb choices and react on emotion instead of acting responsibly and voting for what is actually on the ballot.
It doesn’t matter where it happens. It is only the opposition trying to garner favor from places that are not up for input.

If I understand what was happening in the US then the people did vote responsibly. They saw their bills going up and could trace the problem right back to the GOP candidates that had supported what was being done. The war, higher food prices and other costs going up. They voted after looking at their wallets and did not like what they saw.

That is your opinion but those that voted would consider that they had.
Many people flatter themselves.

It would seem you just do not like the outcome.
My statements are not based on my likes and dislikes, even though they have something to do with my reaction.

Not that it matters, but you like the outcome?

You can get along with a muslim Michigan better? Talarico’s texas? Deep state senators who look like stroke victims like Brown from Ohio? Their covid doctor who shut down the state is now going to be their governor. That is a good thing? Maybe you think they are better Christians??
Talarico, who doesn’t believe the Bible? All the sodomites just elected, that was justified?

People are upset because someone said Trump is a Christian, so it is a good idea to vote for the godless candidates??

You really think the people elected are the better choices??

I don’t know what people think they considered. If what you say is what really happened, then I stand by what I have been saying. These voters are emotionally immature. Sorry for you if you are one of them in Canada. (Really, I’d be more sorry for Canada.)

Yes they do but it was their choice. Why, well that is not clear.

Not that it matters, but you like the outcome?
No. I think that the US will come to regret the choices that have been made.

The muslim in Michigan I cannot remember his name but as for him and Talarico those states will soon come too see that the choice they made let the devil walk in through an open door.

I would rather see a real Christian in that office but what we always seem to get in higher offices, both US and Canada, is people that make the claim but will compromise to appease the loudest group.

You really think the people elected are the better choices??
Not what I said. But when you look at all those running do you really find anyone of them that show any real willingness to stand on Christian principles?

I do not have a very high opinion of any elected officials, whether in the US or Canada.

But as the saying goes, You dance with the one the brung ya.

I think the US and Canada are both going to regret the choices they have made.

I appreciate this response more than I can say. For all the goings back and forth we have, I am glad we are not really that far apart.

We are not that far apart. We are just brothers that disagree at times.

I could say more about those that got elected but then that would just get me in hot water.

Donald Trump lied to the American People saying he was going to stop the wars but then after elected kept the wars going and started new ones. His own followers, me including were disappointed in his war murder. Nothing will change, we are a Nation who's foreign policy is to have war for the American Empire. Why else would Trump tell voters he was for peace but then turned to war as soon as he was in office go to war. It's American Policy, that's why. He really has no choice. It's why the Democrats are just as big of War Mongers as Donald Trump

Proof is in the Policy Papers.

Thanks for that uplifting Sunday morning vitriol.

Have you nothing better to think about on a Day like today?

Watch the video tonight to learn about your own Governments Foreign Policy. And Truth is not vitriol. When someone convinces you Truth is vitriol that's called brainwashing.

I was referring to your words. I am not interested in your videos. I was just encouraging you to worship the Lord today instead of wallowing in political foolishness.

I will refer you to the video.

You called this a “war murder.” I think it’s only fair to ask you to explain what you mean in your own words, rather than making someone else sit through 21 minutes to find out.

Besides, when I click play, it says, “Content not available.”

I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with a Muslim, an atheist, or someone of any other religious belief or worldview serving as president, provided they were committed to setting aside their own personal beliefs for the sake of upholding and defending the Constitution.

Personally, I'd much rather have a president who respects the Constitution, regardless of their personal beliefs, than someone who professes to be a Christian but seeks to undermine or tear down the very Constitution they've sworn to uphold.
This was an issue with Kennedy (Catholic, doing what the Pope says?) and I think Nixon was a Quaker.

Carter was a Christian (liberal) but faithful by all accounts. His politics were liberal and hurt the economy.

Peace to yoh

Which is why the media drew the attention to gas prices instead of everything else.
The media reported the high gas prices. It’s an issue. Every time folks filled up, they were aware of the high prices. Every time they shop, they are aware of high prices.

You could speculate if prices were down, the media would ignore it. Probably so.

Traditionally, midterms are hard on the incumbent POTUS and their party. Happens almost every midterm.

Americans like to keep their politicians humble, i guess.

The country must still be governed unyil the next cycle. I suspect most politicians in Washington will be willing to work together yo accomplish something before next cycle.

Peace to you

The media is offering plenty of explanations for the midterm election results.

1) The economy and cost of living

2) Trump’s unpopularity and the Iran war

3) Poor candidate selection and misplaced campaign priorities

But what if those aren’t the actual reasons at all?
DeSantis has said those were the reasons as well.

There were 35 Senate seats up for election. Democrats did not lose a single seat they previously held and flipped 7 Republican-held seats, they successfully reclaimed the Senate majority. Keep in mind that ballots are still being counted in Alaska and Mississippi with the Democrats holding a small lead.

Democrats also flipped 44 Republican-held House seats to give them the majority there as well.

A lot of Republican voters stayed home because they felt none of the candidates on the ballots were worth voting for. The biggest loss in votes for the Republicans were the independent voters. The Democrats received the majority of those independents who bothered to go to the polls to vote, while many stayed home.

This election was a referendum against Trump and those Republicans who didn't have the intestinal fortitude to hold Trump accountable. Face it, Trump and the Republicans were out of touch with the people. Trump tried to minimize the increase of gas and diesel prices, stating the war with Iran was worth the "tiny" increase. That "tiny" increase and the increases in tariffs resulted in higher increases in consumer goods like groceries.

This was probably the worst defeat the Republicans have suffered in my lifetime. Politicians shouldn't make promises they have no intention of keeping. Voters need to pay attention to what candidates are saying when campaigning. They need to fact check them to ensure what they're saying is true or possible.

Before this election disaster, Vance, Rubio, and Donald Trump, Jr. were looked at as being viable candidates in 2028. They are already beginning to distance themselves from Trump. If they do run, my advice is not to trust them at all.
