The First Cause of all things must be an Infinite, Eternal, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Spiritual, Volitional, Truthful, Loving, Living Being

Creating the eye Can't be done by random natural processes. It can't be devolved into smaller incremental steps.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

I would go for an age between 6 and 10 thousand years rather than strictly 6,000. Also, I wonder where these figures come from, since I thought human recorded history doesn't go back that far.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

You're still left with God creating something not good with death before the fall.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

Creation was declared good by God in Genesis which would mean having no sin, and therefore no death. Would a perfect God create a world not perfect? Sinning at the start? We would have to call death a good thing if we have it before the fall.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

Animals these days obviously die, but before the fall, the answer would be no. Adam and Eve obviously sinned, the consequence was spiritual separation from God and they became mortal, so also physical death, even though delayed.

Well Adam was no simpleton. :) He was given charge by God to name multitudes of animals. But he wouldn't have known much about spiritual or physical death. He also did not stop Eve taking of the fruit of the tree.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

Okay, so long ages means macro-evolution or something similar. This theory has death before sin. Death before sin messes with the foundation of the salvation plan. The salvation plan has sin coming at the fall through Adam. That's sin before death.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

True enough. But it is related to the issue of sin.

Does it Matter at all what the Age of the Earth is?

The part that matters, is getting the foundation of Christianity right. That DOES affect eternal salvation. So sin came through Adam, sin led to death and the sin came at the fall So if we accept evolution, especially macro evolution, it messes with this. Death happening way before the...

Independent Bible churches — your opinion?

Weeeell the definition of the New Testament church is one that does physically assemble, locally. That the membership of it is of saved, baptized believers gathered together to carry out the great command and commission. I think Baptistboard is a parachurch organization. I understand there are...
