    Biblicism

I'm not sure how to answer this nor do I think I am even going to try. I don't think I have ever seen someone with a more worse case of CDS (Calvinism Derangement Syndrome) as this! Best of luck to you.

    Have You Ever Attended...

Let me make it clear that I was not speaking against the "altar call" per se. My primary objection was with those who make it a major point of contention and as a "test of orthodoxy." Altar calls can be effective if employed in a correct and scriptural manner.

    Biblicism

If I only had a nickel for every time I ran across someone who thought that Johm 3:16 was some sort of "Magic Bullet" that refuted Calvinism! :Rolleyes:rolleyes: If only John Calvin would've read John 3:16, perhaps he wouldn't have become a Calvinist? Who is "Whosoever" and how does "Whosoever"...

    Have You Ever Attended...

OK, this is where I have to come down on the "Other Side" here! The so-called "Altar Call" is nowhere to be found in scripture. It is largely a construct of the "Revivalism" of the Second Great Awakening. I am not saying it is unscriptural or that it should never be employed but I am saying...

    Have You Ever Attended...

I have been a big fan of the "9-Marks" ministries and have used their material in the training of deacons and ministry leaders at our church but Mark Dever has some serious issues and I do not believe I could recommend this ministry any longer! Mark Dever is willfully ignorant at best and...

    Western Civilization and End-Times Prophecy

I am guessing you would be speaking mainly of the "Western Hemisphere" where the "Americas" are? I would say that from the standpoint of the biblical authors (Old and New Testament), this "New World" did not exist so this is why such are conspicuously absent in biblical prophecy. From their...

    Fake Academic Scholarship Exposed

Much of the so-called "Social Sciences" is blatant Marxism re-packaged into a sleek, sexy, and trendy "study" of one sort or another. When I take my dog to dog parks, they are mostly empty but he finds a "Playmate" ever so often. He is 'fixed' though so he is incapable of "raping" anyone...

    Have You Ever Attended...

I was raised in Roman Catholicism and became a Baptist about a year and a half or so (1983) afterward after coming to a living, saving faith in the risen Christ (1981). I therefore have familiarity from such a standpoint but since I have been a Baptist (Evangelical Christian) for over 40 years...

    MY EAD

I raised my right hand and joined the Navy Delayed Entry program in January 1982. I was in my Senior year of High School and about six month old in the Lord at the time. Reported for Boot Camp in Orlando, FL after graduation on July 27, 1982 then reported to NATTC Millington TN for training as...

    Suppose Adam had......

As I have stated in prior posts, Adam was culpable because he was responsible for Eve and it was his "passivity" that allowed Eve to be tempted to begin with. God gave the commandment to Adam and it seems quite clear that Adam at the very least communicated this to Eve and he is probably the one...

    Invitation Hymn

You mean you don't have someone saying "Turn in your hymnals to #347" or whatever?

    Invitation Hymn

It all depends upon whether they sing all 97 stanzas of the invitation song and in such a case, it is better for the entire congregation to sing so the song leader does not wear out his voice!;)

    Suppose Adam had......

And if a frog had wings, he wouldn't be bumping his bum on the ground every time he landed!:Laugh We can read between the lines and imagine all sorts of scenarios now can't we? While I largely agree with Federalism, we need to remember that it is still a "theory" based on what good men...

    Suppose Adam had......

Good question and I recall hearing the old joke - "Where would man be without a woman? In the garden!" But note that when God pronounced his judgment, blame was laid to Adam and the serpent. God did not address her actions directly - only told her of the consequences. The LORD said "Because...
