I thought Baptists followed scripture
They just re-interpret it based divine revelation they receive from God. Baptist believe that, with the completion of the Word of God, there is no need for new revelation.- Hutch

That's quite a blanket statement. Maybe your exposure to Baptist has been limited. I pastored 3 Baptist churches over a 25 yr period and I preach only the Bible's doctrine (which I align with).
