Good sermon. So, you did this via online video? Was there someone who translated it in their language for you?

I believe that we, the people, have granted our governments too much authority and power over us. We gave them an inch, and they took a mile...but it's doubtful we will ever get it back.

Oh...we're everywhere. It says 145, but that's likely to be a very low, incorrect number. It says there are three in Washington state, not including me, and I've been at the same address for over 23 years. I asked Google AI how many Mike Black's there were in the USA, and it said...

It didn't find me, and it said no Mike Black was living in my town. I disagree...

I have not, but at your suggestion have just ordered a bonded leather copy on Amazon. Many times I have difficulty finding the right words while praying...what my heart is saying and what comes out to God often feels confused, and I am hoping this book can provide some framework to grow...

Hope I don't have to hang around that long!

I am not necessarily saying that this is wrong, however there are several million Jews who might question if God made governments to be instruments of His judgement. Not all governments (if any) are, or ever were, truly honorable.

Wow. Great post @Anthony Pritchard . That's a lot to chew on.

There used to be a lot of things. Please, tell me what possible good can come from shooting this to death man in public? Radical Islamists blow themselves up every day..so it's certainly not going to be viewed as a "deterrent".

Yes, justice is being carried out, but as a lesson for others I'm not sure. Radical Islamists continue to blown themselves up intentionally in order to kill "infidels"...death doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent for them.

Not being familiar with the verse, I'd have had to take my best guess, and that would have been: B. he that sets snares. I chose that as the verse continued with "they set a trap", and a snare is a trap. Also, being a Baptist I am unable to provide a simple two-letter reply. My apologies...

You have a very good point, but I'm afraid that's a consequence of what the world today calls "progress". Those first meme's will be out within minutes of the execution, and IMO that's just sickening.

Do I believe he deserves this? Yes, however I have -0- interest in watching a man die.

I was hoping to help you make your posts more readable. That is all, no more, no less.

I was not claiming or suggesting anything, rather I was hoping to help you make your posts more readable. Quotations have purpose, agreed, but just a couple are sufficient vs. drowning the reader in an unnecessary number of them. JMHO
