I have always held the idea that others smarter than me taught that the book of Job was really really ancient. Are you suggesting that it's only the setting of Job that old and was written much later by Jeremiah?

Oh!!! Why didn't you just say so in the first place! As far as Cain and Abel being born when Adam was 128 and 129, that's impossible. Seth was born to Adam when Adam was 130. Abel was already dead. Cain and Abel had already grown up, been old enough to make sacrifices to God, and one killing...

Cain and Abel were the first children. But the Bible in no way at all gives us the age of Adam and Eve when they became parents. I'm not understanding your assertion that he was 128?
