Hebrews 12:1-3--encourages me to remember those who have gone before me, and to keep going no matter what comes because Christ endured the cross joyfully for me.

Mark 12:37b "and the common people heard Him gladly."

That speaks volumes to me... since i am a common person, ministering to common people...

1 Cor. 1:31 says it all and Jer. 15:16 is icing on the cake.

    The middle of Hebrews 11:16

wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God

I just have this vision of God going up to Moses and introducing Himself by holding out His hand to shake and saying, "Hi, I'm Abraham's God." Then I ask myself, would God be "not ashamed" to introduce Himself to some of my friends as Bob's God.

    Ephesians 2: 8 and 9

Can it get any clearer than that, folks?

Phil. 1:6 -- that He is faithful to finish the good work He began. I know then that I don't need to worry about myself -- He is in charge and He certainly knows what He is doing!

    And I love Psalm 23.

Revelation 22:1-5 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

    Wanna see that. :D

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    Wanna see that!

I also love the "these sayings" verses. They're really neat. This is a faithful saying, this is a faithful statement, etc.. There's not too many of them, but just enough! Go ahead and look it up, it's really neat. I made a bible study lesson out of all of them a few years back, makes a good sermon too!

Hebrews 5:11ff NIV11We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. 12In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
this has a great deal to say to me and i suspect to many others

A personal favorite for many years, as a small farmer in an area of many small farmers- II Kings 6:5
" But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.” [IMG]

Nah 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

    My Life Verse(s):

    Psalms 119:9-11 -
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
