Hard to say. I think the answer is different at different times. I think people like John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Mac Brunson, and Ken Ham have a large impact on me at all times. Others like Darrell Bock, Craig Blomberg, NT Wright, Gary Habermas, Jerry Falwell, William Lane Craig, Mark Noll, Paul Barnett, and James White have a different impact on me in different areas.

    In Christ,
    Martin.

Well after the writers of the Bible I'd have to say:

    Henry Blackaby

    A.W. Tozer

    E.M. Bounds

    Watchmen Nee

    Wayne Grudem

    Norman Geisler

    John MacArthur

    Charles Spurgeon

    C.S. Lewis

But nothing compares to Paul's Letter to the Church at Rome.

Phillip Keller (A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23, Lessons from a Sheepdog, and his devotionals)

Dave Hunt (his straight stand against Roman Catholicism, the New Age garbage, and Calvinism)

CS Lewis (The Great Divorce, Screwtape Letters, and his essays and sermons; his logic)

Francis Schaeffer (his incredible logic, we have his complete works here; his challenge to sloppy thinking theologically)

Barry Setterfield (his ability to follow the data in science and to look at the Bible and life with the eyes of faith and trust. Being his wife has had a little influence here...LOL)

Phil Johnson (his clear thinking and ability to stand back and look at what people are actually saying. His growth of faith through his strokes and his humor. He is a personal friend, as well.)

Nancy Pearcey (The Soul of Science, Total Truth; her ability to tell it like it is)

Joni Tada (her story, her growth in faith and her reflections on how God has worked in her life and the lives of others)

Henry Morris (his courage in opening up the field of creation science in the sixties and his research into so many areas)

Ian Taylor (In the Minds of Men; his step by step exposition on the faults of evolutionary thinking and his clear writing in this field)

Walter Martin (his work on the cults)

Without a doubt it was Vernon Maggee of the "Back to the Radio" broadcast. Every day as I went to work I would listen to him faithfully and be blessed. He was a simple country boy preacher, but he spoke to your heart and made the bible clear as crystal.
