1 Sam 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
Whether we like it or not man does judge by outward apperance and how well one conducts himself, speaks and even writes.
Does that make it right? not always but it usually is a good indictor of what is going on on the inside. i do not and never have had any desire to dress in a way that inticed a man (never really had to) nor did i feel a need to pierce parts of my body that drew attention to myself either. I am conservative by nature and it shows in most all i do. But i know very good people with good hearts who may while still being modest and flambouant are more colorful than i or have a tongue pierced or more than one ear, or listen to music i do not prefer, does that make them evil or wrong? i say NO! now there is line there somewhere to be drawn when it comes to dress, music, what we put IN or on the body and what comes OUT of our mouths, that will be a good indicator of out HEARTS.
Because whether we like it or not we are a WITNESS and EXAMPLE good or bad.
