I just got a pop-up add from "Dictionary.com" which showed a Black man reaching towards the camera. Most of the image was, therefore, the palm and splayed fingers of the black man, with his head in the distant background. The caption that read diagonally across the picture of this Black man reaching for his "5 finger discount" (hence, the splayed fingers) read:

    EVERYBODY STEALS...
PLAY FOR YOUR CHANCE TO STEAL $100,000...

(I did not catch the rest of the text)

Now, technically speaking, isn't that a violation of the 8th Bidding (Commandment) of God?

And, as such, isn't that TECHNICALLY an anti-Scriptural, anti-Christian, aka 'Satanic' commercial?

Of course, of course, just more Hollywood-esque 'fun & games', I suppose I should be sorry?

I didn't mean for my reply to sound as disgruntled as it looks. :D

This ad is clearly straight from Hell and has obviously been devised by Satan himself.

I get quite frustrated at people blaming Hollywood for all that ails them. Last time I checked, Dictionary.com wasn't a Hollywood company.

It's just a stupid ad. Let it go.

I still say we give more credit to the devil than he deserves.

I dunno. If that ad really came from Satan, you'd think he'd do a better job than that. Like someone else said, maybe he's slipping a little.

I will agree that pop up ads themselves did originate from Lucifer's mind...

Hollywood only produces what the people will fall for.

Is it possible that we've gotten to the point where we are corrupting Satan?

Your reply was right on the mark.

Come to think of it, you may just have something there.

There is a WORLD of difference between LUCIFER and SATAN.

LUCIFER was the Angel of Light BEFORE his fall.

Subsequently, he became the INVERSE, the perveyor of darkness. Light is a metaphor for KNOWLEDGE... the implication is that SATAN uses the KNOWLEDGE he gained, not for well, but perversely for ILL.

People seem to be TOLERANT of sin. The "8th Bidding of God" clearly reads, "Never shall you steal!"

This pop-up add clearly reads, "Everybody steal, do it and get rich!"

The pop-up add is CLEARLY exhorting, and extolling, the VIOLATION of a BIDDING of GOD.

There is no ambiguity here. It is an "Anti-Scriptural" add. It is an "Anti-Commandment of God" add.

People today tolerate that. That is, they TOLERATE the extolling of BREAKING GOD'S LAWS.

By definition, that is "ANTI-GODLY". In so far as the word "Satanic" means, technically, "Anti-Godly", that popup add is clearly "Satanic". That's what the word MEANS.

Today, however, before you can pull the trigger and call something "Satanic", it has to BLATANT, you have to see horns and hooves, etc.

That is, as long the Snake deigns to daub himself with even a single dab of camopaint, nobody pulls the trigger and calls him on it.

Today's American Christians are S-O-F-T. Soft on crime, soft on the Snake, soft on sin, and all its tyrannies.

Nobody reads Leviticus 20:13, or Exodus 22:18. Those who currently lead at least 4,000,000 Ameicans in OVERT SATAN WORSHIP in their "Ch-rch-s of Satan" are very happy at the tameness around them, upon which tameness they depend. I officially protest the soft weakness of this world today. The Second Bidding of God clearly reads, "Never shall you allow the Name of God your God to come to naught." The Greek word for "naught", often rendered "in vain", means "to make appear empty". That is, Bidding 2 clearly tells us not to CLAIM we are doing God's Bidding... when in fact we are really just shirking our duty, and not doing jack.

This is also the meaning of the "Riddle of the 2 Sons" in Matthew 21:28-32 -- deem a tree by its fruit, deeds speak louder than words. (Today, nobody heeds this either. As they say, "it's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it that counts". Professional speakers learn about the VERBAL message, the 'upper 20%', and the NON-VERBAL or SUB-VERBAL message, the 'lower 80%' of tone of voice, apparent confidence, posture, body language, etc.

Today, you can babble on about nothing up in the verbal spectrum, and as long as your non-verbals are pleasing, the tame pigeons will flock to your voice.

Anyway, today we claim we are "God's Children" and "Doers of God's Will"... even as dust collects on Leviticus and Exodus.

Almighty God is pleased? He is? Really? You're sure? Uh-huh, I see.

    This country is SOFT.

And EVERYBODY, and I do stress EVERYBODY, knows it. It is a Fait Accomplis, there is no reason to bother hiding it.

This country is SOFT, and I officially protest.

    Bismark,

Nobody can "learn" me anything. Other than that, don't you have something more substantial to complain about? It was a pop up add, for dictionary.com, nonetheless. Clearly no one here has tolerated "stealing", nor would many non Christians, if you ask me. Please review the definition of a METAPHOR, then come back and complain about something that is truly satanic.

    met·a·phor

    met·a·phor [méttə fàwr]
    (plural met·a·phors)
    n
    1. implicit comparison: the application of a word or phrase to somebody or something that is not meant literally but to make a comparison, for example, saying that somebody is a snake
    2. figurative language: all language that involves figures of speech or symbolism and does not literally represent real things
    3. symbol: one thing used or considered to represent another

[15th century. From, ultimately, Greek metaphora , from metapherein “to transfer,” literally “to carry between,” from pherein “to carry” (see -phore).]
