Bob Gray, former Trinity Baptist Church of Jacksonville pastor, has been arrested. He is accused of molesting two girls over 20 years ago. The news just broke on a local station in Jacksonville.

Women always telling the lies by make report file to Police on men for sex assult, molesting, raped, etc. For the purpose is to sue them to get MONEY. Dirty. [IMG]

Kobe Bryant, basketball player of L.A. Lakers was the one example of men got accused for raped in Colorado about 2 years ago. Probably he did sex a young lady in the bedroom. But, I do NOT believe he was actual did assult or rape her. What she was do, trying to sue Kobe for receive lot of money. Although, she failed.

I do not believe Dr. Bob Gray did molesting two women. I met him in person few times. I enjoyed watched him preaching. No doubt, he is a truly great man of God.

We know, women in churches always spread rumours are filled of lies. Not only women, even, also men do.

Of course, we all praying for him, that God is taking care of him. I am sure, that the case against him will be clear up and drop it soon.

    In Christ

You have a real problem with women, don't you. Why don't we wait for the trial before we declare him innocent or guilty, and before we smear the accusser, or feel too sorry for her. He may well be a great man and a good preacher. I don't know. Never met him. Or, it is possible that you may have been decieved. Either way, I find your general statements about women to be offensive and without Christian love and think you should probably rethink them a bit.

Joseph is right. In America, we are innocent until proven guilty. This is a comment in general about lots of cases like this, I have always wondered why it takes so long for an act like that to surface, after 20 years? Any thoughts about why so long in so many cases? Is there a statute of limitations on things of this nature?

HERE is a link to one of Jacksonville's local stations that has run the story.

    This is terribly shocking!

I don't know thw whole story, but I have a feeling that if this were a Catholic priest in the story we would already have him tried and convicted in our minds.

Perhaps you would have. I have no idea to know what you would have done. If the story is true and the elders in the Church tried to cover it up, they should all be arrested and thrown in prison. And well, you all know what I think of child molestors.

To all who have an ear:

    Guilty or innocent?

If innocent, where does he go to get his reputation back?

Either way he is ruined as a preacher of the Gospel, is he not?

    sdg!

Dr. Tom Malone is a good close friend of Dr. Bob Gray. During winter time, Dr. Malone always staying in Jacksonville, visit Trinity Baptist Church often. I am sure that Tom might already hear rumours of Dr. Gray. I am sure that he might be grief or heartbreaking of him. I believe Dr. Malone and his wife are praying for him. Probably, he would telling several of his workers of Midwestern Baptist College & Emmanuel Baptist Church to praying for Dr. Gray's situation. Probably, I think Dr. Malone might want to talk with Dr. Gray. But, I don't think so. He have no authority to visit him. Only decetives have power to visit him.

Oh well. We can do is praying for him. Wait and see find out what the trial will make decision for him.

    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

This case or trial might be difficult, and it would be a long way to go to find him guilt or innocent.

I thought rbell's wording was good because it left open who was the victim - the pastor or the accusers.

However, fifteen separate accusors with similar allegations does tip my opinion to the likelihood of it being true - a conspiracy is possible, but difficult to pull off over time. Time will tell, probably.

I read the link of a local news on Dr. Gray. It says, fifteen women said that, they were molesting by Dr. Gray.

FIFTEEN?! That's pretty lot. If suppose one person to report Police, that is not good enough of evidence, and have no witness.

Well. That's sad news. I hope that Dr. Gray actually admit and ask God for forgiven, and repent of sins. We have to forgive his sins. Although, his reputation seems already ruin for gospel's sake for good.

I hope Trinity Baptist Church & Trinity Baptist College have to put their focus toward God, and go forth serve the Lord, and continue spread gospel despite sad news of Gray. Because if this news caused them to hear and become bitter, might lead church and college into split. I hope not. Please pray for Trinity Baptist Church & college too.

Prayer is certainly in order right now. Also, restraint is in order as well. We need to wait for a court ruling. If he is guilty and the other leaders covered it up, convict all of them and start over with new leadership at the Church.

If they are innocent, they should all be restored in full and supported by the Church.

Speculation is not helpful at this point. Prayer is.

Under Florida law, if a sexual-assault victim is 12 or older, but younger than 18, the statute of limitations to bring charges is four years. If a victim is under 12, there is no time restriction on filing charges.

Thanks SFIC. Anyway, again, and that includes all these priest stories, I have never understood why it takes multi-decades to bring this to light.

If I understand it correctly, repression, self-blame and not being believed at the time have a lot to do with it. Sometimes kids are threatened or actually punished for telling.

Children are encouraged to see things simplistically - if the man who molested them is "good" or even "holy", as men of God are presented to children, then they themselved must be the "bad" ones. It's often only after therapy or decades of introspection that these former children come to realize the source of their self-loathing and messed-uppedness.

I feel like, not want to share with you of Bob Gray's situation. But, I want to telling you something. Yes, I believe Dr. Bob Gray was actual did involved with them years ago. How do I know?

I want to telling you something about ex-deaf pastor of that church.

About 8 years ago, I was involved as camp counselor at the camp in near Jacksonville, FL. That camping was own property by Trinity Baptist Church.

The leader of the camping. He already determined to set up plans for the services, who's will preaching night services, include himself too. He already asked his counselors include me too, for to preaching the service. Somehow, ex-deaf pastor asked leader as BEGGED want to preaching that service. Leader agreed allow him to preaching.

Guess what? During that service. He brought bucket filled with lillops(candies), and he threw them up in the air to kids during service. That was not usaully and not normal. Then later, he signs in ASL, his arms stretching out to sign, (hug or holding down) he signs for sex with a woman. Obivously he speaks of SEX. I was there, saw him all! I cannot believe it. The leader of the camping was so upset and bitter with him.

The leader decided not go to camping in Flordia again next year because of that ex-deaf pastor. As what the leader told me. Also, the leader told me, he was not happy and very disappoint with ex-deaf pastor.

Shortly after camp event. Ex-deaf pastor resigned from that church. He tranfered to another church not far awar from that church for to lead the deaf ministry. I believe the reason that he resigned as deaf pastor of that church. Because I was sure that the leader might already made report to that church what he saw ex-deaf pastor preaching very strange and cult-like, even also mentioned about sex stuffs.

I am no doubt that ex-deaf pastor might already know of Dr. Bob Gray's secert sins many years ago. Ex-deaf pastor was there while Dr. Bob Gray was pastor there for many years. No question, I believe Dr. Bob Gray might already influenced on ex-deaf pastor of sex stuffs and secert sins. Probably, that the reason, the staffs of that church cover Gray's secert sins for many years because of money reason.

I remember back in year around 1993 or 1994, Trinity Baptist Church just finished built a new church building. At the same time, Dr. Bob Gray announced them, he resigned as pastor, to become missionary to Germany. In my suspect of this recently news of Gray's situation. I believe once the construction of a new church building completed. Dr. Bob Gray resigned as pastor immediately to became missionary to Germany. I believe his purpose was to flee away from that church and America, from being caught him into a big trouble of his sins. Also, another reason was to cover-up of his secert sins, not want church's finanical to be collpased, or lead church into split.

Not long time ago, his first wife passed away. He married second wife. His seconmd wife is about 40 years earlier than his age. He is now around age 86. He married her about 8 years ago, not sure. That mean she was around age 35 to 40. No wonder, probably, he loves young ladies.

That how I am suspecting of him for being got arrest for reports molestling from 15 women. Oh what a shame for him. I am heartbreaking for him. I thought he was a truly great man of God. I watch him preaching several times. He preached so STORONG and BOLD. But two faces. Why? I am disappoint to hear news of him. [IMG]

Oh well pray for that church, college and his victims, that God is take care of them.

I hope that Dr. Bob Gray would admit and confess his sins to people and victims and ask them to forgive his sins. Also, I hope that they would forgive his sins too. So, God would forgive his sins.

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 - Amen!

    Wait and see, before judging.

And pray for the victims, whoever they are.
