    What books are you reading at the moment? Are there any you would like to recommend? I am currently reading:

    Early Christian Doctrines by J.N.D. Kelly

    Evangelical Anglicans ina Revolutionary Age: 1789 - 1901 by Nigel Scotland

    Experiences in Theology by Jurgen Moltmann.

    Introduction to Biblical Hermeneutics (1996) by Kaiser and Moises.

    Impossible Theology: The Christian Evolutionist Dilemma (2004) by BaptistBoard member Mike Gascoigne.

    Jesus the Teacher, Examining His Expertise in Education by Herman Horne (1920) Revised and expanded by Augus M. Gunn, (1998)

    And re-reading Protestant Biblical Interpretation by Bernard Ramm.

    I'm reading a "fluff fiction book" called "On the Trail of the Truth" by Michael Phillips and Judith Pella

    I'm going to start reading "On asking God Why" By Elisabeth Elliot

    and I'm working my way through the New Testament, journaling as I go.

    "Israel My Beloved" by Kay Arthur...it's interesting...that's about all I can say about it right now. I'm not sure I like it or not...but I can't put it down. That must mean something. I've never read a novel by Kay Arthur before, so it's a total new experience.

    Read through a different version of the Bible each year or so. This year's reading is the complete translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

    Just finished "Battles of the Bible", a neat history of every conflict recorded in the Word.

    I'm in the middle of an absolutely fascinating book, Mount Vernon: The Civil War Years, Presence of a Lady by Dorothy Muir. It's not particularly "Christian", though there are examples of faith, but the book is excellent and fascinating. Sorry, I'm a history buff.

    Just finished, When Religion Becomes Evil, by Charles Kimball. Great insights into why some Muslims think and act as they do, and why some Christians have the same kind of mind-set.

    The Tragedy of Compromise (The Origin and Impact of New Evangelicalism)

    by Ernest D. Pickering.

    I started it last week, just 184 pages which my eyes and brain could have finished and absorbed in less than 12 hours back when they were both in their teens to late thirties.

    Hope to finish this week.

    Then, start on The Death of Death in the Death of Christ by John Owen, probably finish it late July.

    Just finished Go Home and Tell, by Bertha Smith. This book documents her experiences as a missionary in China during the great revival there. I would definitly recommend this book. I just finished it last night and am thinking of reading through it again before I loan it to my teaching partner.

    I am reading 2 Chronicles, Psalms and Proverbs in my daily Biblical reading.

    For my leisure reading, I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
